My own thoughts are that one of the great things about the 10" is the compact size. The 15" might be great, but if you're after a compact combo, then... It's a shame it didn't work out with the Prom. When you get a good'un, they're awesome.

It came with a new set of Hi-Beams on it. I've done a couple of gigs with it, but rounds always sound (to me!) like there's a hole in the mids. That's why I moved to flats originally... every year or so I'll go through a rounds spell to remind myself why I'm a flats person.

Yeah! It's lovely with the La Bellas on, but I need a new set so I thought I'd experiment...

Yeah.. I shall hang on to my combo for dear life. It's irreplaceable.

As for being in a band with a drummer who has a flaky concept of timekeeping because they're a friend... it's akin to persevering with a car with square wheels just because you're fond of it. If you're not bothered about getting anywhere, and are happy for people to point and laugh... knock yourself out.

I'm not sure I'd spend time teaching a drummer how to keep time. it's something they should just 'know'. If they can't feel it, then... meh.

I took it to Warwickhunt's last night for a bit of a plunk - it sounded great through his Thunderfunk and Aggie DB. It's now - finally - got an old set of flats on it, and they're staying.
