1. I watched them on telly a few months ago - it was a recording from a festival down south somewhere (High Voltage?). I couldn't believe the performance of Hocus Pocus. It sounded like the whole band just wanted to be somewhere else, as soon as possible. It was about 3000000mph.
2.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMxr7LvoJ7s
[Pedant mode ON] No pedals :-)
3. Calm down, everyone. It's just young band doing young band stuff with, from what I can see, the bass player's agreement.
4.
Over 30lbs is too heavy for bass gear ? Blimey , that cuts down your options just a bit.....
Not any more....
5. And if you can do without the 'pedal' bit, Santo & Johnny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1st_9KudWB0
6. Sneaky Pete Kleinow... mint. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BITiY8M_oDo
7. This is a strange thread. Most brands have loyal customers. Why are Barefaced are being singled out?
8.
Once or twice, now I find doing 10 minutes of yoga 4 or 5 times a week prevents it.
Hopefully you won't, but if you get it properly your opinion might well change..
9. The rat fur on my Bergantinos always looked tidy, 'cos I looked after them. Mind you... Having an anonymous black box behind you that sounds great is one thing. Having a beautiful looking cab behind you that sounds great is even better.
10.
And for anyone who plays with a PA and uses a DI, your cab is about as important as the 'tone' a 9v battery gives you over a new fan dangled power supply.
Nonsense.
11.
This would be relevant if you could buy a new 1961 Fender Jazz in 2013...
I'm fairly certain it was meant in jest...
12.
Tort or black plate ? Not easy to see
You need to turn the brightness up on your monitor. :-) Tort.
13.
Here's my guess: Listening to one brand against another in isolation (possibly in a shop) is no way indicative of how those cabs are going to sound at a gig in a band situation and at battle levels
Absolutely. A bass cab is only any use to me when it's in a mix. I try and reserve final judgement on them until I've tried them in a few different live situations.
14. Another FWIW... I adore Bergantino. Beautiful cabs. I used HS210s for a number of years, then HT112/ER stack, and then to the TKS. The TKS felt like home. Sold the Bergs. Never regretted it.
15. FWIW, I've gigged a Compact, a Vintage and a ceramic prototype that probably isn't going into production. Enjoyed all of 'em.
16.
I'd strongly recommend looking at TKS cabs. My personal experience is they have far more thicker, fuller and beefier bottoms end. Not to mention cheaper if you go for the ceramic ones. The build quality is outstanding as well and their range is more an options list and you build your cabs from that. WoT has 2 and loves them, like I say, from personal experience the tks wipes the floor with many other 112's. If not all! Dan
Yip - absolutely worth a look. 17. Y'know, like: OMG! That is HAWT!
18. To answer the question... I'm as likely to repeatedly listen to the clip in the OP as I am to a Victor Wooten solo performance.
19. Here's an existing thread.

21. They're marvellous. One of my favourite bands. http://spikedrivers.co.uk/
22. These do look lovely. My only whinge is that violin burst is such a weak colour... give us a nice 3TSB or cherryburst!
23. Here's a PBass, tuned BEAD with (as far as I'm aware) an old stock P pickup. She gets a consistently great tone live and on recordings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfjtK4Mnrg8
24. *holds hand up* Sorry Pete - forgot to PM you. I merged it, and put an explanation in the merged thread.
