1. Leo made a mistake Wash your mouth out young man
2. + 100 Look cool too
3. I've come a long way with my playing in the past year but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with our lead singer/band former who is gig shy and a complete plonker So, mid 50's (age is a number not an attitude), would consider most genres, into Blues/Rock/Punk and Jazz but can't play jazz Committed (or bloody well should be ) and reliable with a fair bit of my own gear Live in Kendal, Uni in Lancaster and willing to travel a reasonable distance. Peter
4. Darren is a great guy so I'm sure you'll have no problems if there is a problem developing with the gear. Trying another cab seems the way to go. Peter
5. Hiya Yes again it's of little help unless you tell us what the 'problems' were. Peter
6. Maybe sometimes the money is more useful than the instrument? I'd love to have a play on one of these. Maybe a rare trip to get a lottery ticket - hehe
7. Go for it Paul. I'd love to hear it
8. The slots may appear to be a cross but I suspect that a flat bladed screwdriver is the correct tool. Yes clockwise to straighten
9. +1 on all the above, has great gear choice too, visit website with care
10. I can't afford but those that can would appreciate photos. So would I
11. I use mine with a standard Diago psu.
12. Here's hoping that you get exactly what you want outta this Alan in terms of enjoyng yourself.
13. I think this thread is in danger of losing it's way. It's not photos of my bass time but favourite photos of other basses Otherwise this'd be here: The best coffee table I own
14. I've heard a rumour this may be sold
15. I spot a theme there BRX
16. Every now and again someone posts a photo of a bass that is so stunning I keep finding myself revisiting it over and over again to drool. Sometimes it's just one particular shot that appeals to the bass fetish in me. The most recent, that I've checked out 3 times just for the warm feeling it gives me, is this one: There are a fair few more. What's yours?
17.
Which one? There's a whole page of basses there...
The one called 'Uberhorn'? Not my thing to be honest but ascetics are so very subjective.
18. I have seen and had my hands on this bass and if Alan wasn't already building me a fretless I'd be more than just interested. As you say very light and very nice indeedy.
19. Just check all the connections with a multimeter and resolder any dodgy ones. Is it an active or a passive bass? Passive basses are fairly simple electronically.
20. I'm in Kendal and I'll do it for nowt if you're close.
21. I don't really see the point of relic'd instruments at all but, for a heavily relic'd body I've seen far, far worse than that one. I actually think it looks pretty good if this is your 'thing'.
22. This is a superb price. I don't need one but it shouldn't hang around.
23.
Maybe he should toughen-the-f***-up and stop acting like such a gay? He hardly took a beating.
Yeah but he was a newbie and not a bassist so he's not used to abuse perhaps?
24. A part of me was deliberately avoiding this thread while guessing that the usual off topic nonsense would be prevailing. Sadly I looked and my suspicions were confirmed. This guy used BC to offer an opportunity to someone, bollox followed and he's not replying? Now that's hardly a surprise
25. You can always get a 3 hole Jazz plate and drill 2 more holes in it
