bassura

Hi there, I’m not very comfortable with the truss rod thing, so I need some wise advise My bass is a Fender PB ’57 reissue (Japan) and the neck is far too curved. I already made a try, and turned the screw clockwise with a phillips screwdriver, at the end of the neck where the screw of the truss rod is. And it didn’t seem to work. Maybe it got the thing even worse, I’m not sure (did I already say I’m not feeling comfortable with truss rods?). So, does someone know if the truss rod on that specific bass has to be adjusted a different way than the majority, I mean, in this case, do I have to turn the screw counterclockwise in order to straighten the neck?
