    Plan to use it with my HX Stomp. Got it as a bargain so even if it’s just a headphone amp it’s cool. just installed Darkglass suite and seems like a great piece of kit.

    Scratchy, crackle when turned. I know a guy who’ll strip it and service it for £20 so I’d rather let him do it.

    Not sure it counts as an effects pedal. Second hand. Arrived and it was DOA. 🤦‍♂️ Took the base off and the tube wasn’t plugged in 😂 Sorted that ( it’s really hard to get your fingers in to apply enough pressure on the tube to locate it). Now we have sound! Next, 3 of the pots are really noisy. Messaged the seller again saying it needs a service. Agreed a partial refund to cover the cost. Will have it back in a week. Has anyone any tips, especially using the Shift Line power amp IRs that you can build on the website? Cheers

    As far as I’m aware it does make a difference. Better quality loaders have more memory for longer and more detailed / higher resolution responses. Whether that detail can be heard or not is another thing.

    Agree. I use it for writing guitar and bass parts. It’s very versatile and surprisingly loud for its size.

    I’ve got the Spark 40 which is similar. Great piece of kit. Excellent practice amp with the phone app to control the effects.

    I know he recently did a bass version of the Warlow which is a Muff style pedal. It has many of the internal options you mention here. Clean bypass with bass boost.

    If you like your amp I’d look at keeping it and getting your “grit” from an external source. ✌️ I’ve had 3 ABM Amps and I love them. ✌️
