  1. Bought a Thumpinator from Matt. Arrived swiftly and was in great condition. Very happy cheers
  2. thing is, it was listed in Hull. When I messaged the guy, he lives less than a mile from me. 😂 So no worries about postage. That’s probably why it went so cheap. It’s in beautiful condition.
  3. Picked this up for £100. Only tried it for 5 minutes but it’s nice to play. ✌️
  4. Bought a Laney Digbeth Pre from Dave. Absolute pleasure to do business with. Nice to stand and chat for 10 minutes. Many thanks.
  5. You don’t have to like the compressed sound. The pedal has an output level so just set the compression so you’re just seeing the green activation light when you play the hardest and reduce the pedal output until your amp is happy. 👍
  6. That’s great. I use the EQ completely flat on my ABM evo2. It sounds great. Everything at 12 o’clock including the valve grind. ✌️
  7. Any ABM500 will be a great amp. I've had the EVO 1, 2 and 3. Into 8ohms ( with most decent speakers ) that's plenty of volume. The 900 is pretty much identical, but with twice the power. That's nowhere near twice the volume though, but given how loud the 500 is, that might be overkill. ( but still nice to have )
  8. 12v Neg centre. It does still work a bit, but the fuzz comes and goes. Sounds very noisy. When I plugged the power in, the red "on" light came on and stayed on regardless of the switch position. The red light now works as expected but as I say, the pedal sounds like stinky poo. I know a guy who knows a guy who is currently repairing my Morley Power Fuzz Wah ( non power related issue) so I might just throw it at him when I see him next...
  9. pretty much off topic, but I just bought a second hand EHX Bass Blogger and the first thing I did was plug it into a 12v supply.. It's knackered. Any use to anyone?
  10. I'd definitely go ABM EVO 2 or 3. Look out for a 2x10 combo which can be found cheap, then get an ABM115 to add. My rig consists of an ABM EVO2 500 Head with a 210 and 115 ABM cabs ( Both 500w versions ). This is more than enough for most venues. I also have a pair of ABM410s but rarely use them,..
  11. I have 2 of these. One was from an old stock of faulty units where you only get nothing or full on fuzz. The other is fully working. As you've said, I don't use the Diodes clipping. Just the gain and volume. Really nice sounding pedal. Just leave it on all the time..
  12. do I need a third??? 🤣 Great piece of kit..
  13. First outing for the “Portable rig” at the weekend. Both cabs are 500w versions. ✌️
  14. Is that part of the Celestion IR collection? I can’t find it,
  15. Confirm they are indeed 44.1 so they're exactly what i needed. I did have to crop them as they're 1 second long, and my Sonic IR loader didn't have the memory space. I cropped to 250ms and its all good..
  16. Do you know if these are 44.1? I’ve messaged them but not heard back yet. Is there a way I can tell myself?
  17. Gunna bump this thread rather than start a new one. I’m looking for bass cab IRs, preferably 24bit 44.1. Any recommendations? Cheers
  18. I did see these, and they do a Tele bass version also, but they're not available. No idea if they've sold out of stopped making them.
  19. best bet at the minute is buying a Squier 32” Jag and stripping it for parts.
  20. Anybody know a good source for a 32" Jazz neck in the UK? Not strictly Jazz, but something of that type ( P or Jag perhaps ) cheers
  21. Swamp Ash body with upgraded EMG HZ pickups. probably going to be a project.
