Hey. Vocal is very up front and sounds quite dry. I’d definitely drop out back a bit and look at your compression settings. Drums again dry and a bit flat but it’s hard to tell briar they are a bit buried. Have you got a drum bus with some parallel processing going on? Just to help liven them up a bit. Maybe smash the OHs a bit! It’s hard to say without knowing what you’re going for.

I spotted one of these last week. Naomi MacLeod had one on her IG. Not sure if she used it with Biffy or not. I like the look of it..

It sounds great and I don’t mind a bit of doom! I thought the snare on BraveStarrr wasn’t the best and preferred the snare sound in the other 2 songs. Can’t remember exactly but felt like it had a tambourine ( or something in that frequency ) layered under it. The other snares just sounded more convincing. ✌️ Great work

Enjoyed that mate. Sounds legit. Did you use different snare samples. The snare in the first track sounds a bit fizzy. Prefer the snare sounds in the other 2 tracks. ✌️

Mate. Thanks for that. I was looking at the 624s as my room won’t be the biggest but these were a bargain and they have the switches to reduce bass so I bought them. The guy’s owned them from new. Said he paid £700 each. They’re the original USA versions. ✌️

I suggested to them they make the ABM pre in pedal form just like the other pre pedals they have. Don’t think it’s an option. I think they’d sell loads of them.

Yes it’s great amp. I had the ABM500 Evo 1 and now the Evo 2. Love the Ashdown tone.

I’m guessing it will rely on processing power. HX stomp/XL and One might miss out..

Yeah got that. It’s a lot to spend on an only effects processor though. You’re well into brand new HX territory there.

Says he no longer does them as the platform is unreliable. I’m guessing it’s marginal gains, and sending players with have moved into the Helix if audio quality is that important.

Yeah I plan on using an expression pedal. You can control pretty much any parameter as I understand it.

No love for the EHX Black Finger on here? It’s definitely a character compressor and can get super squishy, but on the lighter settings it’s a nice tube stage.

Thanks for that mate. I’ve only recently discovered Mogwai and I love the music. I’ve always been a fan of dynamic / atmospheric music and I love a massive fuzz sound so they are right up my street! i have a P bass with an EMG geezer so I’m most of the way there already. ✌️
