1. Hmm, dithering a lil bit on this. Didn't realise the USA models were that rare in the UK Lakland problem all over again...
 2. Now now now then! This or the Bootsy??? Damn I wish someone would buy my basses...
 3.
MB1. ...Mancunian Bumpette!
Oh! thank ye kindly Yeah anything with 24 frets or lines is dandy - I'm loving the whole fretless with lines on ebony thing at the moment, if it had the extra line it'd be going nowhere. All trades considered although I do have something in particular that i'm after directly after its sale! Green is definately the new black and this has both on it to make sure.
 4. It is the best finish I've seen on a Stingray 5, I prefer the rosewood also - more depth!! Semi Acoustic Fretless Bass with Lines (preferably ebony board) sounds like my idea of heaven...
 5.
I really seriously would do that trade were it not for it's scale, it's a groovy looking thing! Makes me wanna pick it up and play Free tracks all day...
It sure has a woofly tone if thats your thing, I was enjoying using a pick on the rickenbacker setting but now I'm using the EB3/P bass setting for fingerstyle, has more punch and less growl and clank. I need to find some way of getting audio samples up and some better photos BC will let me upload and it'll be away. I don't blame your temptation! Its not often a 60's bass turns up so cheap unless it has a warped neck/poor action or been modified, into Rickenfaker territory now. It's got some sturdy timbers and some very distinct vintage tones, just lovely now it has TI flats. Completely giggable, but has the antique look. The neck is fantastic. If you'd like some detailed photos your very welcome - just PM me your email address. The scale isn't really much of a problem. I'm 6ft and I wear the bass a little higher than usual and tighten my strap, it sits pretty much on my belly so I have full access to the 21st fret I use so much!! You'd have to have pretty massive hands, like paddles not to find your way around, it feels nowhere near as small as a guitar. The neck is amazingly fast, especially helpful for solos where sliding/bendings involved. Been checking out some of the Free Videos recently on youtube, I've clearly been missing out, only listened to Bad Company!!

 7. Hey Chris! I think the change from gold to chrome will be a definate improvement, not many pickguards go with red n gold! Be like a duck dunn,Tis a beauty of a bass especially the relicing. The gold hardware would look amazing on the blue one tho!! Ahh one day maybe I'll have a collection like that. Precision and ampeg is always a winning combo.
 8. Fantastic bargain. I'd take it if my stuff would sell.

 12.
Only found the site 2 days ago. Sent photos and serial no today. Will let you know
Cool stuff, I've done the same. Only just realised your up the way in Pontypridd!!
 13.
I've just found a website for hoyer guitars (who have been brought back to life) I e-mailed them about my different model Hoyer (pics attached - battered and bruised but still fantastic) and they got straight back in touch asking for serial no. and pics and promising to see what they could find out. Here's the site http://www.hoyerguitars.com/Hoyer_Guitars/Hoyer.html Cheers
Good work!! Thats awesome!! We made it to 3 haha What did they say about yours?
 14. Malekko B:assmaster Fuzz Pedal (silicon version). Bought this recently, its in perfect working condition and looks brand new. Quite a wide array of Fuzz tones from mental (Muse) to subtle. Bought it for the whole Chris Squire Fish out of Water transcription. Reason i'm selling is a mix of not currently at the stage to be able to afford and experiment with pedals - gimme a couple o years perhaps. £110 posted Full review here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6kjd6GyvLc
 15.
You can see how beautiful that maple under the lacquer is... Given the opportunity I would certainly remove the finish and leave it at that maple. Good luck with the sale!
I agree, I'd just strip it down to the wood. Then get someone to take a look at the electronics.
 16.
I don't want to be a dreadful pedant (well maybe I do), but the stretch is down to the scale length not the number of frets. It's just how far up the neck they gave up adding frets I found that, although at first glance quite chunky, that these G&Ls have amazingly comfy necks for a five string.
Do they add the extra frets past the 12th?? It is a very comfy neck, I'm a lil unsure now. I've had a few basses where the 1st to 5th frets have been awful for my hands to manouvre around (in this case its the bottom 3) but it ain't too bad, getting used to using my pinky for octaves. I always heard G&Ls were heavy and had poor access to the higher frets - I disagree! I prefer a fretless (in ebony!), although getting frets put in wouldn't be a waste of funds, I think they're very underrated both renown and value.
 17. Its because of the Funky Weird Green finish, more basses should be green I feel. I've got a Zebra Skin Strap Locked on it at the moment
 18. USA G&L L2500 34" Scale 21 Frets Figured Hard Rock Maple Neck Ebony Lined Fretless Fingerboard 2x George Fullerton Magnetic Field Humbuckers G&L Tri-Tone active/passive electronics, 3-way mini-toggle pickup selector, series/parallel mini-toggle, preamp control mini-toggle (off/on/on with high end EQ boost) Swamp Ash Body Chrome Hardware Transparent Forest Green Finish Ultra Lite G&L tuning pegs G&L saddlelock Bridge with through body stringing Neck Width at Nut 44.5mm Moulded G&L Branded Hardshell Case The USA model uses higher quality materials, resulting in a much lighter, more resonant bass than the Indonesian Tribute series. Leo Fenders final say on the bass guitar. I was expecting it to be a lot heavier but I'd guess 9lbs but don't have the means to weigh it. Reason I'm selling is that I need 24 frets instead of the 20/21 fret stretch found on most basses - I have guitarists hands. A shame as its fantastically versatile - Motown, Rock, Jazz, Metal, Funk, Country, RnB does it all. Never seen Green and Ebony on a G&L (Incredible Hulk )and the US models are getting quite hard to come by in the UK. This bass is professionally setup with new roundwound strings and I can't see a mark on it - looks as new. You can use roundwounds with minimal scratching on an ebony and slap if thats your thing. The bass does anything from Jazz to Musicman to Precision tones through my Genz Benz 750. The fretless Precision tone can be set to passive with a vintage tone to die for, especially with the clarity of the Ebony and the extra boom from the humbuckers. I've not had an issue with the B string as I string through the body preferring the higher tension. Theres also plenty of access to the higher frets of the neck for the jazz guys, but for those of us who aren't its quite easy to whipe out that fretless mwah and keep the depth and rumble. And heres the link to the original thread with some pictures: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=77896&hl=l2500 I'm looking £695 which is roughly double the price for a tribute L2500 new and this is in mint condition, so a good bargain I think. Worth at least £850 this condition second hand. I will consider all trades offers as well.
 19. Ahh gotta love the EB3 style . I wish we had some more Hoyer examples on here, tempted to collect them when I'm older and have more funds! Saw one go straight away here in Cardiff, semi acoustic guitar just went within a week. You probably have to try b4 you buy though as not many ppl have heard of them. Rare gems.
 20.
Collection absolutely no problem if the time comes. Will be within couple of days.
Sounds great! Just say when, still available.
