1. I've never had the pleasure of playing a Jazz other than an American Standard in Cranes Cardiff. They can't set up basses for sh*t so I wasn't impressed. Quietly spectating, I'd trust Bubinga5 on this one - he's probably tried every Jazz lol.
2. Been on since October last year!! Now at rock bottom price, how humiliating for such a great guitar...makes me sad.
3. What strap do you use with it? Its not that heavy I guess
4. Rosewoods a harder board than maple for starters, so less wear. 78's are more common too (I think!) Personally, I think you should give a couple o months worth of play to see if you like it first. You got TI's on it so your already half way lol.
5. I put up whatever price breaks even or would please me first, buyer second. I'd expect that as a buyer too. Only when i'm in financial trouble will I drop it below. If it takes someones fancy, they'll pay for it without making a lower offer - I always seem to do that with Charvel gear  . Also I dont think a fretless should be worth less than a fretted ever. Getting it fretted is criminal, I started on a fretless and the feel/sound is beautiful but I wouldn't play it exclusively, half the time though at least. Fretless P's create my favourite tone, I reckon I could manage the neck too. Question is P retro or no P retro?? Lovely bass, would pitch an offer if I could own more than one I love S/R/T finishes...and lamp
6. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABLwmYI09Lw Thought it was worth getting Molan's vid in the thread to give people an idea of the sound!! Fantastic price, I do like super precisions - there should be more! Tempted... BUMP
7. Wasn't me either! I dithered too much about the looks. I need to try a couple o status' not sure whether all graphite or an S2 would be good for me
8. If you decide to post let me know, can't resist this kinda stuff.
9. Would you need another bass after purchasing this? I think not.
10. I like the Kinal, someone buy it, I ALWAYS click on this thread when its bumped. A lot of ppl say that the Elrick is on a par with a Fodera on Talkbass...still like the Kinal more lol.
11. How much does it weigh please?
12. I love these so much, could never get bored of a fretless that would fit my hands. I reckon this one would too!
13. Luckily it has the 21st fret to manage that line, sounds extremely punchy in the clip but it was much smoother in person, I think the dictophone mic is receiving too much input. The bass has a very high output but the pickups are beautifully quiet. I'll make some more rock style clips soon.
14. Replied . This has to be one of, if not THE best bargain on the BC market...
15. *sigh* £565? this has to be the best deal on the market unless I've missed something.
16. Can I ask why its called the 'Pub bass'? Or is it just a nickname?
17. Lovely slap tone especially, very crisp . I've alway found maple boards to be too jazz/funk orientated for me as well, if it had a rosewood board I reckon you'd be sorted. If your looking for 60's/70's rock I got what ya need!!
18. Makes me wanna play guitar. The bassist just keeps pulling the open G over and over and over. Slap bores me 80% of the time.
19. Poor quality sound clips will be continually added until sale using my Olympus dictaphone lol. All recording will be created from a Genz Benz 750 set to flat on the clean channel and involve changes solely from the Hoyer's gibson electronic circuit. No pedals included. Hopefully it will give you an impression of the aggressive thump and growl of the bass. Vintage vibrations ). Apologies for poor playing and random inaccurate licks.
20. It has a bridge humbucker setting for fingerstyle funk
