---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HEAD SOLD, CAB STILL AVAILABLE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In 40-years of playing I've failed to learn from two recurring lessons: I don't get on with Jazz Basses no matter how beautiful they look, feel, and play I don't get on with lightweight gear, no matter how much I curse having to lug Mesa Diesel or Powerhouse cabs and assorted large tube amps to gigs and rehearsals Now, there's nothing wrong with either Jazz Basses or lightweight gear of course, and this rig has actually been very useful following a sports injury in August - which made lugging gear, and even standing with a bass, a challenge, and stopped me playing upright completely for a few months - it enabled me to have a decent sounding yet lightweight option. But cut to today and I'm happily lifting Diesel cabs and 300w tube amps again, albeit probably with a little more caution than previously, and I'm moving this rig on accordingly. Both units were bought used but with relatively light use here on Basschat, and both are in very good condition. Gig bag and cover, as well as documents, are included. I've rehearsed it around 20 times and it doesn't even break a sweat keeping up with a pretty powerful drummer and a very very pokey guitarist. As a rig it has all of the plusses of the Walkabout Scout combo but is lighter and more powerful, with less tendency to get woolly at higher volumes. It's also designed to run at 2ohms (albeit via a selector switch on the rear). I've not really explored the EQ, HPF or damping options as it sounded so bloody good set flat, but there's a number of threads here and on Talkbass in which more knowledgable people than me get into the details of these Ideally I'd prefer collection or handover in person (it's light enough for me to jump on a train to London with it, and with a bit of notice I could probably get elsewhere by car). Courier of courser remains an option albeit my least favourite.

Bought on here a few months back in pretty much unused condition. It's a very nice piece of kit that I've used happily for both practice and rehearsal. It's surprisingly god even when using a passive bass without a preamp, but obvioulsy sounds even better with actives/pres. I've now set up my studio desk for practice so this is surplus to requirement and although small enough to sit comfortably under my bench, is still taking up much needed space (lot's of other stuff competing for the 'under the bench' space), hence the very nice price Original listing here

Madly beautiful piece of kit, like something out of a Jules Verne movie! Great sound, and while it would be wrong to say feedback -free (it of course isn't), it's the DB mic that's given me the least problems on stage. Rather ugly 1960's style tine case included Price includes UK courier

Stunning piece of kit but I'm gigging DB very little this year and am simplifying my EQ and amplification gear/processes. This was bought in 2023 ad has done perhaps 20 gigs max, each time with the Ear Trumpet Nadine mic also for sale. Case is built like the proverbial. Price includes UK courier

Bought for a vintage Jazz project that I've decided to move on, it was installed literally for minutes for me to realise that the cavity would need to be slightly modified to accept it (good ol' early 70's Fender QC I'd guess). It's fit pretty much any other Jazz without modification of course! You know the score with these, absolutely wonderful piece of kit at every level. This has the retro Fender-style controls BTW. I bought these to install in an old Jazz bass that I had planned to restore but on which I eventually gave up and moved on. Box is now a little tatty having sat in my parts drawer (more of a parts chest of drawers these days to be honest) and has been opened to check everything's there (which it is).
