  1. https://www.east-uk.com/?v=7885444af42e seems fine
  2. Yep, Paul Di'Anno on vocals, my ears are still slightly ringing. Undoubtedly one of the best gigs I ever saw..... ....but it was as long time before anything they did on tape got close. When they played Sanctuary and the band came in after the guitar intro, I thought the building was coming down, and I don't think i was alone
  3. Welcome, sobering to realise I first saw Maiden 46 years ago
  4. That's rather funny
  5. I had to buy a domestic appliance (god I hate those two words) a while back and the Curry's website let me put it in the basket but wouldn't let me actually order/pay. I checked out the problem and it appears it was something to do with the settings on my laptop in the context of their web protocols. I tired to contact them but couldn't for the same reason so bought it somewhere else. Internet eh?
  6. I suspect this is a placebo thread
  7. It feels like a whole new generation of musicians have reached 'that age'. We've seen a lot of 60's and early-mid 70's pass on, but I still see bands like The Jam and their contemporaries as young men because I'm the same age. God bless the human brain and it's denial circuitry. RIP Rick, you were a largely unsung hero of some of the most powerful songs and albums ever recorded. I didn't always like The Jam's music, and I doubt I'm alone. But I doubt anyone who's serious about music and culture could deny its quality, its honesty, its impact, and its importance 🙏
  8. So you've had it 19 years and now you're worrying about the fingerboard, or have I missed something?
  9. ….and that’s what they admit to 🤔 22,000 parcels lost EVERY DAY It’s why they’re called EVRI 😆
  10. Damn, was looking for an excuse to buy another of these as well 🤔
  11. SKB are a different league to the likes of Gator, I keep both my big amps in their cases knowing they’re protected not only from shock, but also temperature and humidity. Worth every penny 👍
  12. Now that’s special 👍

    Naughty 👍
  14. Agreed, although Reverb have decent functionality around previous sale prices that can be hit and miss with eBay. Re dealers, the whole game is smoke and mirrors, they indicate a sale price, and then indicate 'sold', so you're led to assume that it sold for the price in question....
  15. What they said ^
  16. Perhaps slightly better and again cut from standard Precision pickguard but prefer the crude one above TBH.....
  17. Crude version
  18. Basschat Yellow Card mate , one more and it's a Red 🤣 All joking aside, multiple pickups means that when you're at a (new) gig and one or other of them is either sounding shite or feeding back, you have the other, and a decent preamp allows you to balance the contribution of each to the overall sound both in terms of relative volume and tone. At the gig itself, 'high-end preamp' is an important idea in terms of functionality, perhaps less so in terms of tone. I used to use three channels in order of preference 1) Mic 2) Piezo 3) Mag. For sure you can get away with 3) alone unless you're on guts, but 1) alone is always more satisfying and 2) always a little less so
  19. Ha ha, indeed mate. I think the subtext here is the market for these basses being in part generational both emotionally and economically, may be about to peak, or might have already done so 👍
  20. I suspect you’re missing the point of the OP and several other posters 👍
