  1. And another
  2. But here's a clue......
  3. Or a Beedster Fendercaster, hard to say at this point
  4. It's going to be a Fender Beedstercaster 👍
  5. I'm keeping my own counsel on shape to ensure that when the bass emerges on the forum I can say "this is the 100% shape I was aiming for...."
  6. And why not......?
  7. Norman meets Jaco
  8. Typo, damn, will correct
  9. There's some serious mojo around that whole era of musicians, those that emerged in the 70's but never made it to stardom in TOTP terms - that means that you've always been able to have a pint with them (even Lemmy bought me a pint once, and he probably did meet the TOTP criteria as well). The person I most regret not meeting was Wilko, whose performance of Roxette on OGWT in the early '70s is still for me the definitive rock and roll moment (the "electric mouse on rails" in a band that felt like they had emerged from a "special area of the military" as the presenter had it). These are the guys that played it 'cos they love playing and still play it 'cos they love playing. And a big part of that is the genuine affection and respect they have for the people who come to the gigs. If @ambient isn't going, I'm heading up and having his ticket
  10. Loads of pros, no cons, and some of the best slap ever played is on flats, which are also highly bendable 👍
  11. Nice work @Jean-Luc Pickguard
  12. Don’t you dare not go 😡
  13. It will have a Fender-esque look, I have template and pencil……
  14. I’m about to start a project copying a very specific bass and need to modify the headstock. Jigsaw, spindle sander, something else…..?
  15. Ebanol feels a little colder and less organic to me, ebony and maple less so, rosewood least of all. Ebony is in my opinion the preferable board with rounds and maple with flats, rosewood can be a little tame sounding and I've always felt stifles the string vibration a little
  16. Make me an offer mate, I'm in a very good mood 👍
  17. So am I mate Need to move a bunch of gear ASAP folks, so happy to accept offers especially if you can collect 👍
  18. I'm happy to accept offers on this and i'm feeling very generous at present so make me an offer, I'd be especially generous if you could collect, and if you could do so this weekend........
  19. I don't think you've priced it wrong, just it's a niche instrument and things are slow at present. Depending on how badly you need the cash I'd hold on a while. It's a lovely instrument with a slightly sad back story, kinda like the pistol in The Mexican
  20. What an odd thread?
  21. The moment there's even a slight deviation from "I will send you the funds by recognised method and either collect the gear or ask you to arrange a courier" I'm out, I've simply had too many bad experiences now. I won't even take cash anymore unless it's from a buyer I know/trust
  22. I think different people have different experiences of wokeness, I certainly don't recognise that account, so perhaps our experiences differ mate 👍
  23. Yep that was very good also, I’d have rushed out to buy a Handbox were it not for the fact that, like the SH performance, I suspect it’s less in the amp/preamp and more in the technique 👍
  24. That tone is beautiful as is the playing 👍
