I've been more than happy since my 424 arrived at the start of January, but since I'm limbering to the possibility that my G&L has been lost, somehow, I treated it to a visit to the tech for a well-earned once over. Just got a text from him: "....I've finished the setup on your bass this week. No issues, and a much lower action...." That's got the weekend off to a very good start 😊 I've been having to play the noodle-thin TRBX this week and my hand is missing that chunky x24 neck. Which seems counterintuitive, but there we are.

By "weirdo" I had hoped to see mention of D-F#-Bb-D-F#. One day.....

I'm impressed by this bass's ability to get so many pearls firmly clutched 😇

The specs for the TRBX range, if anyone else apart from me finds such things endlessly fascinating

Make the switch go from the P pickup in a passive circuit with a tone control to the Humbucker in the existing active circuit, with just a master volume.....

I decided that the slopes of the split pick up must be confusing my eye.... ....but perhaps not....

Just dawned on me that in future the choice of colour for my basses should be dictated by the colour of the silks of the strings I'll want to put on them *turns to scowl at blue Chromes silks strung over a dark-redburst headstock*

When I was listening to clips of the VI (because of GAK's ad for one at £600) I was thinking that it didn't have any of the BB style upfront tone that usually catches my ear, but was more subtle, and very classy. How that would sound with a J pickup added and 4 inches lost.... 🤷‍♂️ This was the best demo of one I think on a image search there might be a catalogue page or two online of the VI and VIs and VII etc. But I think it was in Japanese.

I think I recall when looking up the VI a couple of weeks ago seeing that there was a VIs as well, tho I cant remember if it was 32" or 30"
