  1. Correct. Also, your 'tech' hasn't done a very good solder job. I'd get all of that re-done.
  2. Xotic RC Bass Booster V1. Not boxed but great condition, just one or two small paint nicks. Hook side velcro underneath. Beautiful clean boost and mild OD / break up. Great EQ with no loss of bottom end, whether driving a tube head or dirtying up a solid state front end. May regret letting this one go! No trades thanks. UK only
  3. Centrre Neg. I got one of these - works great: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/312072256549
  4. Looking forward to hearing about it!
  5. Saw Gary play many times, always great. Stand out gig was on the Scars tour when he had Cass Lewis on bass and Darrin Mooney on drums - phenomenal 3 piece sound.
  6. In my opinion, the Classic 50's are one of the best Precisions made. Hopefully this will sell quickly!
  7. Ben bought my Tone City Plexi pedal. Paid quickly and stayed in touch to let me know it got there. Heeps of fun apparently!
  8. Fantastic, clean, transparent sounding, un-coloured compressor. One of the best on the market Boxed and never left the studio. Just 2 pieces of hook side velcro on the underside, otherwise as new. Selling to raise some funds. £125 posted in UK. No trades or offers please.
  9. Great Marshall Plexi style Distortion / OD. This is the updated version with the much improved gain control. A seriously good pedal which im selling as part of a fund raise. As new condition and boxed. £32 posted. No offers or trades please. Watch this great demo! (sounds start at about 2 mins): https://youtu.be/TC2oMzMiVMQ?si=tgm26OWQF5SptlL8
  10. Always try cutting some bass frequencies if you are being asked to turn down by FOH. Chances are that your usual (rehearsal room) settings are too bass heavy for that room/stage and you will run the risk of being asked to turn down to the point that you haven't got enough on-stage amp volume to monitor with - bass down and then vol can go up. The tone on stage shouldn't be too much of an issue as you should be sending a good, clean, pre-EQ signal to FOH anyway - and you can always get the FOH mix in the stage monitors.
  11. Fender Custom Shop Jazz in relic blue sparkle. I like the stack knobs mainly with Neck PU vol full on, tone backed off about 10% and bridge vol slightly rolled back, tone up - gives a nice bark. This is a very full sounding Jazz bass.
  12. SWR Grand Prix is one of the best sounding clean pre's I've used. The semi-para EQ is a joy!
  13. For anyone considering buying this, I've tried and owned EVO I, II, III and IV and for me its the II every time. Great amps, very even response across the whole range.
  14. One of my Precisions has EMG Geezers in it and is currently strung with 760FL's. Sounds great for rock, soul, R&B. I've also tried 9050L on it, which were also good - more high mid focused and tension not bad, a bit more stiff. Tried 77s on it and didn't like them at all on that particular bass. LOTS of tension and not too much fundamental output. The GZR pickups are killer. Not OTT output and a great vintage vibe. Well suited to flats
  15. EBS Multicomp in dual band mode for just a touch of compression at all times
  16. Maybe try looking out for a s/h Dave Hall DHA EQ/DI - best I've used.
  17. Not long since put a new set of 760FL's on one of my Precisions - all seems as should be and how they have always been
  18. Hopefully as good as the original MIM Classic 50s and 60s series, some of the best Fenders I've ever played - still playing one of the first 50's Precisions
  19. Bought a set of Fender 9050 flats from Jono. Great price, everything as described and a great guy to deal with.
  20. I've used the JJB500. A very clean, powerful amp. No real drive on tap and a really useable 12 band EQ. I had a drive pedal in front of it (maybe a Beta or SFT?) and it was a beast with a 610 and the sound certainly filled a big stage. As has been said, I believe the input gain is set higher than the MK and possibly a different transformer?
  21. I use an ABM 500 EVO I and an EVO II with a Bergantino NV215 and I can't imagine needing anything louder onstage anywhere - I've used that rig on some pretty big stages too, indoors and out!
  22. There's a nice looking ABM EVO II in the For Sale section at the moment and I can thoroughly recommend the EVO II. A nice Spyder 550 for sale too!
