My Warwick is Option 2 and I have to say that the bridge pup in solo doesn't give you a lot of beef! It's fine for tightening up the neck pup when you blend but not on its own, too far back on the E/A IMHO.

You do have other 'options' though, I'm sure mathematically I could tell you how many... if I put my mind to it! e.g. #3 Neck pup E+A closer to bridge / Bridge pup E+A away from the bridge.

I can see you getting a list as long as your guitar lead of people's favourite amps but for my £0.02 worth... ANY amp with 3-400 watts+ will do if you just want more power. Every amp comes with a volume control, so 300 - 1000w in a spare bedroom isn't too loud; it may be a waste of power but if you went out gigging you'd not need to worry about buying a bigger amp! GK 700/800/1001 etc are great amps but do you like the tone?

Let's be honest would a pic of Boris get you more/less attention than Roger Waters? I rest my case; Boris gets you some attention!

Breaking no rules as it is for sale in the appropriate BC sale forum but this is bang on your budget... absolutely no good if you hate Pink Floyd!

Bear in mind a fair few watchers are watching not as potential buyers but they may own something similar and want to see what yours goes for. I once had 200+ watchers on a bass that was priced quite reasonably (less than anything comparable on BC)... not one single bid!

We do quite a few GK pub gigs and though it's one of the other guys who set this up, it is pretty seamless when you've done a few.

I'll say it again Peter... that is lush! Your options are all bang on what I might well have ordered.

What a coincidence. I watched an original band at the weekend (not local) and the guitarists alternated to bass... they were both obviously guitarists and it grated on me that neither were specifically a 'bassist'. The bass part lacked a bassists feel/taste and was played like a 2nd guitar. I personally thought the songs suffered because of it.

What a strange twist... I've just realised that he bought a Thumb bass off me last year! I have his address, phone number, email address and probably his bank details!
