2.
My '87 Warwick Streamer has a cherry body and sounds very nice. Cherry appears to have fallen out of favour as a tonewood because its relatively expensive and doesn't look fancy but that doesn't mean it isn't a good body wood. It isn't the lightest of woods, so bear that in mind with body shapes / chambering. Alex
As Alex says, the earliest Warwick Streamer Stage Is were Cherry bodied then they changed to Maple. I have to say that the early Cherry bodied models are still some of my favourites Warwick pretty much came up with their slogan 'The sound of wood' based upon these Cherry Streamers.
 3. Class The Jam were/are one of my all time fav bands; some of the first lines I tried to learn were Foxton's. I can't believe you actually continued to rehearse though, I'd have just pulled a chair up and sat and listened (even if it was out of sight/in the corridor/in another room)
 4. Why not just ask for a pic of the bass with the scratchplate off, it would be glaringly obvious if this was an aftermarket job. Saying that I doubt Fender would have tooled up the CNC machine to route for such a limited number basses, they may well have just taken a bunch of P basses and routed them by hand Surely there must be a fender site somewhere that documents this bass if it is a ltd run!
 5.
Pics have disappeared - bandwidth exceeded?
Still OK for me
 6.
Didn't realise they were this grainy but enjoy
My back is cringing at the sight of the flightcases never mind what is in them Just out of interest what are you replacing the CXL 12s with or is the 4x10 the replacement?
 7.
Looks like the ever sufferin' wife is getting a trip to Southend into the bargain as well
If it wasn't me I might have known it would be thou
 8.
I have one of these sat up in the wardrobe. Think I need to put a new battery in it and play it at tomorrows gig !!
I likee the look of these but does the TRBII have the piezo or would that be the TRBII(p)... might sound obvious but the Yamaha range is confusing to simpletons
 9. Hello there! A brief introduction in the forum 'Introductions' section (original eh ) and a few pics of the bass, will go a long way toward a positive response. Best of luck.
 10.
£799 in GAK! Get an EBS one for that price - nearly.
I do rate Peavey gear and the TX range gives a hell of a lot of bang for the buck but £799 for a cab labelled as Peavey is just asking to lose 75% of the value when you 'wheel' (couldn't carry) the cab out of the shop.
 11.
You could be right hehe. only other problem with buying a new neck, would it devalue the bass?
Devalue it from £250 Me thinks not
 12.
awww... how do i move it ?
Flutter your eyelids at a Mod
 13. I know the 'PRO' range are better spec but this still seems a bit much for a Peavey cab... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PEAVEY-PRO410-BASS-C...1QQcmdZViewItem
 14. I liberated Mark of his OBP1 and he was a top chap as usual and even got to see him dep with The RHCP (that's The Reet Hot Chilli Peppers). Must be about the 3rd or 4th time I've dealt with Mark and all seamless and pain free
 15. Just out of interest how much bigger is the SKB body over the LG (is it several cm wider/longer/deeper or are we talking mm) and is it a different shape, it doesn't look dissimilar on the Roscoe site.
 16. I agree, if the feedback reflects what happened, leave it! Unusual for you to get a refund before even returning the item. Are you returning it at your cost or is the seller paying you for the carriage; it seems a bit much that you should get a full refund then have to pay to return the bass. You'd be out of pocket to the tune of the carriage fee.
 17. There wouldn't be any Sirius basses going like a budgie... . . . ...cheep
 18. Also an idea of where in the UK you are in order to potentially give it a blast.
 19.
Look like i've under-priced this then! http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=20328
Unfortunately if no-one coughs up £1500 then under-priced or not it still sits there looking pretty! In fact looking at how long it has sat on Basschat, you might be better off sticking it on eBay. There are several documented cases of basses going on eBay for a lot more than they were offered on here
 20. My rig, which I like to think is a bit like me... small and perfectly formed (you could equally say 'looking like some sad 70's throwback' )
 21.
Call it a Fiver and it's yours !!
I'll hold you to that at some point in the (not to distant) future. So have you got a Lakkie yet?
 22. Hey Mark is that right what I hear... you have a 'Loud Inc' 4x10 for sale for a tenner?
 23.
Here's a crap pic of the new rig
Just out of interest do you intend firing the other driver toward the floor or your head. I'm not having a dig I just wondered if you'd just set up that way randomly or if you had a genuine reason for the tweeter being low and the driver firing down over
 24. With regard to what it is worth, I wouldn't expect to be getting the mortgage paid off with the funds An old guy that lives down from me knows I play bass etc and brought by this guitar which he'd been told by someone in a guitar shop was worth (and I quote) "a small fortune". The poor old sod genuinely expected to realise 4 or possibly even 5 figure sums; unfortunately it was a tatty unloved example (neck was twisted, fingerboard lifting and it had no pup or electrics) of an obscure Italian make that research revealed might be worth £300-£600 if it was in mint condition. He left me muttering about going to see an expert in London, tried to explain that the guitar sale wouldn't cover the cost of a sandwich on the train never mind his train fare. I'm not trying to urinate on your bonfire but 'sometimes' people get very excited by rare and unusual finds and expect the kind of figures that get bandied about in the press for *star's* guitars. Saying that, I'd certainly expect you to get a couple hundred quid for it but then again... I'm no expert
