  1. Works perfectly with no issues and bought as an upgrade to my Tech 21 pedal on the route to going full IEM. Comes with instruction book and power supply. 2-channel bass pre for 1 or 2 basses Built-in direct box with XLR output Combination power boost and effects loop Powerful EQ and contour controls Separate always-on tuner output
  2. My go to DI pedal for a lot of years but I'm now using IEM and using an alternative dedicated pedal. No damage, no issues, just a bit of velcro attached to the base. Much more than just a direct box, the SansAmp Bass Driver DI is capable of dialing up big vintage tube tones, bright modern slap sounds, gnarly distortions, and all in between. Three different outputs to drive power amps, recording desks, PA mixers, or simply enhance your current rig. Controls include Presence for definition and upper harmonic content; Blend to combine the proportion of direct signal and SansAmp circuitry; and active EQ specifically tuned for bass with 12dB of cut or boost. THE CONTROLS The controls offer a broad range of traditional bass amp sounds, including such meaty styles as Bassman® and SVT®, as well as raunchy, crunchy overdriven sounds that would typically require a multitude of effects units. PRESENCE controls the amount of definition and upper harmonic content. DRIVE adjusts the overall gain structure and overdrive. LEVEL regulates the XLR and effected 1/4″ output levels. BLEND allows you to mix the direct bass signal with SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry (which is particularly useful for basses equipped with piezo pickups). BASS & TREBLE are active EQ controls, specifically tuned for bass guitar, that cut or boost +/- 12dB. For studio and live applications, SansAmp Bass Driver DI is engineered with three outputs: an effected XLR, and effected 1/4″, and a parallel, uneffected 1/4″. The footswitch activates the Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. Disengaging the circuitry enables you to use SansAmp Bass Driver DI as a standard active transparent direct box. Sample style settings include Bassman®, SVT®, King’s X, Slap, Reggae, Crimson. Settings are also included for Chapman Stick and Acoustic guitar.
  3. Excellent condition with no issues. I'm just not playing short scale basses any more. I also have the unused string mute. 780mm scale (about 30.7”) 17mm spacing at bridge 1.4” wide nut Alder body with Indian Rosewood fingerboard Tortoise pick guard options 2 Nordstrand single coil chrome cover pickups 4 push button pickup selector switches (including “all in” series mode) 4 tone selections including flat, traditional tone roll off, heavy tone roll of, and mid notch Very light weight – 3.18kg / 6lb 15oz 2 way spoke wheel truss rod adjustment Compound radius for excellent playability D’Addario Nickel Round Strings Proprietary custom US Hipshot bridge Proprietary custom licensed Hipshot oval tuning machines.
  4. Excellent condition with no issues. It is soft aged at the factory. Has been modified with a J pup at the bridge position (DiMarzio) and the controls are presently Vol / Pan (no tone control as I've never seen the point!). I should have put the scratchplate back on, I do have it here and it will be included. Super low action. NECK - 6 bolted / Canadian hard rock maple FRETBOARD - Pau Ferro fretless SCALE - short scale, 30″ FINISH - aged: alder body HARDWARE - aged Sandberg PICK UP - 1 sandberg black label split coil + 1 DiMarzio Jazz PREAMP - passive, volume, pan WEIGHT - 3.26kg / 7lb 3oz Trades - 34" scale Sandberg (light weight).

This was a custom finish (factory) and on the rear of the bass under the clear lacquer to coat is the legend ‘This instrument is a property of Warwick, Germany’. It was used at NAMM and also as a demo bass for Warwick artists/endorsers. The sound is just about as big and clear as you can get! Only trade might be a light weight Sandberg 34".

However one of the tuning peg ends has sheared off and needs a replacement… weirdly that string is still perfectly in tune 8 months after that peg sheared and I played the Newcastle City Hall gig (video below) at Christmas 2024 without the tuner! In fact Google Cheat Trick (Cheap Trick Tribute) to hear recordings and live examples of this bass.
  7. re. trades - I actually would consider most 34" scale Sandberg basses but any trade would need to be light weight (they often are).
  8. I should have clarified that the MiPro has stereo combi inputs so if I was taking Aux outs (x2) they'd be going to L / R inputs on the transmitter.
  9. Did not know that. If I went TRS>XLR lead?
  10. One last bump before this goes off for a commission sale... at a significantly higher price!
  11. With regard to power ratings etc (speaking in simple terms), you'll be fine... so long as you don't whack the desk sliders to max! Start off at zero and bring it up gradually, if the speakers start to complain/fart, you've reached the speaker's max level but I'm confident they should give you enough volume before then. Set with your EQ flat and don't start cranking the bass, that can push speakers.
  12. You'd think so... but I just sold one of the new version Electra and it could not be switched; it was active only! It doesn't help the OP unfortunately.
  13. I'm not sure I've ever heard of a 'Golden Era' for Fender pups, other than vintage pups were hand wound and there was variance. Stock pups in most instruments are pretty much mass produced, machine wound and don't vary. You do get certain instruments with specific installs but a MiJ 2012 bass it'll be bog standard. <edit> @Doctor J beat me to it.

    In Memoriam

So sad to hear of Terri's passing, we had many exchanges of 'banter' in the early years and though I never met her, she seemed a lovely person. Condolences to @Tinman and all those around him. R.I.P. @Mrs Tinman
  15. Well the X32 is here which our band is going to use as an IEM mixer for live work where we do gigs where an engineer will be handling FOH and this is our responsibility. I'm going to start setting it up for basic IEM mixes which the band can then tweak. I have several questions if anyone can assist. 1. Do I set up each of the 6 IE outs independently or are there global settings that I can apply to all output mixes? 2. I'm certainly going to take a stereo IE mix from the X32 (several band members have shrugged and said mono is fine) but is there any benefit to using XLR over 1/4" outputs? My IE transmitter is a combi input and will take either. What are the obvious things that I'll miss and potentially need to do/know about?
  16. If it were up to me I'd likely manage with my CQ12; sometimes we'll not get drum feeds and it has 6 outs. However, a couple of the band want to future proof our needs and feel that the £677 X32 is the way forward. Oddly nobody wants a stereo IE feed so I'll likely be the only one doing so.
  17. Our most recent one at the weekend was 2 days, 3 stages, 30 bands, 10,000 people... and 20 minute turnarounds!
  18. You are 100% correct but this particular band wants a self contained unit, added to which my CQ is a 12... which is tight for channels.
  19. @Al Krow It's actually going to be an X32 Rack but we'll have a splitter in front of it; 1 feed to 'our' X32 to mix as we see fit and a 2nd feed (dry) to the FOH. @mike257 Sadly we've done a few (fake) festivals/theatre gigs lately where even the basics of giving us a rough FOH mix to our IEM (relayed in a tech spec to organisation/engineers month before) has been abysmal. I get that they have 6 bands in 9 hours to go through but little point in asking us for a tech spec if we get told 'Sorry, can't give you IE feeds. You'll need to have what we can give you in the monitors... Oh and can you start your set 'now' (this being when 2 members haven't had a line check and all of our gear is DI no backline)!" It is a tough job but we can't keep turning up to get 2nd rate foldback mixes when we've individually spent thousands on modellers and IE systems.
  20. Never mind that I'm already considering that in a 20 minute change over (+ line check), we're not going to have time to route 5 vocal mics and the drum mics via our system... could be £1200-£1500 for something that a lot of these gigs are just not going to be able to accommodate. Does anyone ( @mike257 ) know what the standard procedure is if a band rocks up with a racked 16 ch splitter and X32 and wants / needs the 5 vocal mics and drums routed through our system... in a 20-30 min turnaround?
  21. The messages coming through to me from the band are that we'll be buying the X32 Rack.
  22. In my head I'm wondering about some form of ambient mic near the kit @Phil Starr What are we losing by going the XR18 @JPJ as opposed to X32?
  23. Resurrection time... After experiences at a festival yesterday we are absolutely going for this. X32 Rack £677 MS8000 £114 (pair) 6U case £100 18 short XLR/XLR loom (splitters > X32) £39 3m 16 XLR/XLR (splitter > FOH) £60 Total £990 My only reservations are: getting PA engineers to mic/supply us feeds of the drums to our Splitter > X32, positioning of the unit so that we can run feeds from X32 to our 'individual' IE transmitters (we all play in other bands so it is not practicable to rack all 6 transmitters).
