Booked a collection through Interparcel and though it was a bit much that they could only quote collection times between 09:00 - 19:00, I booked it and organised for collection from a family member's house... No show by the courier! I'll have to see what the craic is about next collection but I'm not happy about organising for someone or myself to sit around for another day! So that's -1 for Interparcel for me.
Latest - Home Delivery Network (booked through Interparcel) have a 'systems failure' and unable to establist a collection DAY... DAY never mind chuffin time! Not a happy camper at the minute!
 2.
Also yeah, I've used them before, Warwickhunt. They're just as good
Cheers.
 3. Anybody ever used the DURACELL PROCELL AA batteries? We use a fair few batteries (digi cameras, camera flashes etc), rechargeables tend to be pants and I wondered how these compare as I've not encountered them!

 5.
Hi, Thanks for the note. It's definately not the obvious possibilities (leads, unseated valves etc.) it used to happen all the time when I was in Angel Witch but we rehearsed SO loud I just thought the amp was protecting it's self before I blew it up overdriving it. It happened however at a recent gig with another band on the 2 hour mark and the mute light came on, again I assume it's protecting it's self but cutting out altogether seems to be a harsh thing to build into an amp's behavious just because I'm driving it too hard. Could it be a setting issue? There is still power to everything when it goes silent. It just stays that way for a minute then comes back. I'm barely on a third voulume when it goes.
Angel Witch... now that's potentially a blast from the past unless you are a new band using that name! I'd say that it is a protection circuit kicking in and it's probably a good idea to get it looked at sooner rather than later as it is a warning that things are not well! Your cab load is appropriate for the amp isn't it; you aren't running a pair of 4 ohm cabs or have any of the drivers in the cabs ever been replaced, possibly with the wrong ohmage drivers?
 6.
Hi, I have a Quad VI 600W amp running through two 4x10 with attenuators, at the time the only compatible cabs Warwick did for this head. Now I LOVE this amp, great sound, great look, but it is prone to cut out when I'm really going for it. Any advice (DO NOT SAY BUY AN AMPEG!!) I'm trying to resolve an issue not sell and try something else. I was just wondering if any other Warwick users have experienced the same issues...
When you say cutting out... is it the power to the amp (amp completely dead), loss of output signal but amp still lights up and how/when does it happen? Total loss does point to something on the output side but it literally could be anything, when the signal is lost can you still get something from the headphone socket? IIRC these amps had valves in the preamp, I doubt very much that they would be the cause of total signal loss but if they've never been replaced or if they have recently been done and they aren't seated, could this be an issue? I don't know if 100% of the signal path flows through the valves but if so and one has a dodgy valve seat or isn't inserted fully... just thinking out loud. I have to ask the obvious and assume that you have tried alternate speaker leads and identified that it isn't a duff instrument cable or dodgy bass jack socket? I very much doubt we'd be able to diagnose remotely any way so I'd book it into somewhere to get it looked at.
 7.
On a similar line, I have an Eden WT405 with only one speakon output and jack output. Is there any difference between using the two outputs for each cab or daisy chain the cabs?
One thing that I always consider is that if you daisy chain from a single output on the amp (assuming you have the option of two) and your first (amp to cab 1) speaker cable fails then you have no output from the amp to either cab and you are left flapping round the back of your rig mid gig/number. Whereas if you can use 2 outputs to 2 separate cabs then if one cable fails at least you have one cab running and can get to the end of the number/gig! Just my views based upon years of gigging where I have a fear of stuff going wrong. Oh and btw none of the above counts if you are using a valve amp because if a speaker cable fails then chances are you'll have a secondary worry very soon!
 8.
We are hitting the road with our Genesis Tribute next Saturday for a gig near you @ the Blyth & Tyne.

Eeeeh... the Blyth and Tyne...!
WoT he said ^ You're playing the B&T and you're travelling up from Cheshire! Oh and 'Hello' Baz/Barry! There's a few of us getting on around these parts, in fact The Bass Doc is a veritable Spring Chicken!
 9. It's amazing ( ) how many instruments that he's sold in just the short time I've been watching his auctions and all have been owned for some time... if he is a BC member I hope he doesn't have all of his basses listed in his sig'!
 10.
But won't 700 w be lost outside ? And thanks for your reply.
Throwing more watts at it won't help, turning down and letting the PA take the load is the way forward! Are the other musicians in the band tooling up for more power/volume?
 11.
Anyone tried any of the Gallien Krueger Neo stuff? Im thinking im liking the look of the 1 x 15 paired with a 2 x 10
Why not a pair of 2x10's?

 15.
Mines had a slight issue with the lead which seems to have resolved itself but the socket end on the amp is pretty solid and shouldn't move at all. These are usually held with push fit return clips ie when pushed in from the outside the clips retract and then open once inside the casing holding securely. Is it possible the socket is fully pushed back inside the casing and just needs a little nudge. Might work. Otherwise you may have to return and have it replaced. Not sure how easy it is to open the casing and see how they are fixed at back of socket. ? When you say moves away from the chassis do you mean inward or outward from the casing. ? Keep us posted though Cheers Dave
Always the issue that warranty is invalidated by opening up the casing!
 16.
Then tell that to Robert Manning
You obviously have a beef Richard but it isn't helping you by p*ssing all over his threads! Just an impartial 3rd party observation.
 17.
I'm more curious to know if its an inherant fault with these basses.
It's not any kind of inherent fault that I've ever heard of. I've owned a few Thumbs over the years (inc several NT 89's) and there's never been a problem with them electronically... other than the ever present chocolate jack sockets! If it's a regular/metronomic click I'd be inclined to say that it is the amp rather than the bass especially as you've never noticed it before. Try a few other basses (ideally another Thumb) and rather than EQ it to mask it I'd play about with the various settings to see if you can induce or make it worse so that you can establish if it is the amp or bass; nothing worse than masking a problem and one day it turns round and bites you back when you least need it (high pressure gig etc).
 18.
NO . what you inplied in one of you reply's to my post, was that I was ripping people off, read my feedback
Fair does if you've got a beef but does it need to go into other threads? Just saying!
 19. You take a Precision... and stick a Jazz pup in it! However for the ultimate PJ you get this...
 20.
Last I heard SHX dont import Schroeder anymore. Bit if a shame as the 1212L seems likes good one cab solution.
Identical config as the Schroeder 1212... 21. Watched the 2nd vid clip... what's the problem? You come across as a competent covers band and tbh your singer seems to have come in for the most flack yet I wouldn't say that any one of you is better worse than each other, I've seen a lot worse bands doing the rounds! I can appreciate that you want to progress so asking folks for areas to improve on is admirable but there'll be just as much conflicting advice as there will constructive. At the end of the day improvements suggested by BCers re. lights etc is valid but song choices etc is subjective; you are a covers band getting paid to entertain (hopefully), just enjoy doing what you do and do it to the best of all of your abilities. Good luck.
 22. [s]No payment as yet but I'll update as and when![/s] [s]Now on hold for[/s] Sold to Joe!
 23. £500 off the matching SVT amp as well!
 24. Hardly my cup of tea but anyone in the market for a monster cab might save a bit by going to GuitarGuitar! A 'brand new' SVT 8x10 for £750 seems a decent deal!
