  1. If ya handy with a soldering iron... i'd cut an inch or two off each end, or past any strain relief... and solder the plugs back on... worth a go...
  2. How about one of those little class D types (Elf / BAM) and twin cabs 2 x12"? Plugged in to one cab for half the power and half size with the Folkies... stick on another cab for full power for the Punkies... Presumably with with the punk lot it's not all in the estate car? But with 2 cabs it might be an easier lift and arrangement in the boot space.
  3. I had the T shirt... but one of the sleeves was moved to the neck opening... nightmare to put on!
  4. Run to the hills - Iron Maiden Bonus point for @andyaber - Title and Artist!
  5. mmm Bass 'n Matching Eye Shadow n Hot Pants... Classy!
  6. Attack of The Mad Axeman - Mono Sodium Glutamate / Michael Schenker Group... Feat. Chris Glen of The Sensational Alex Harvey Band fame...
  7. @ezbassI posted that some days back... Good Choice!
  8. I like a natural Danish oil or Wax finish... Hows the neck, has that had a rub?
  9. Volume drop is enevatable with VVT... hence the VBT with an (MN Taper for the blend) Backing of one of the Vols a little should improve matters....
  10. Phase of the P to the J? Wired Vol Vol Tone (VVT) or Vol Blend Tone (VBT) ?
  11. looking on Thommans... Those HB High Quality HQ packaging looks just like the Olympia Strings... Bargain Rounds and Flats... Gtr and Bass... shame on the Postage cost...
  12. Not Fade Away - Buddy Holly (Mum was a fan of Buddy Holly, Everly Bro's, Duanne Eddie, Fats Domino... my early intro into music at about 8 or 9)
  13. A quick look at Gumtree to see if anythings local is always worth a try...
  14. n n n n n n nineteen - Paul Hardcastle
  15. 5 4 3 2 1 - Manfred Man... (without his Earth Band)
  16. gigink... for custom back print jobs or brian https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/earlpilanz gets a few shouts on here for his Harley Benton plates and others... prolly the £30 mark.
  17. Can Can - Bad Manners!
  18. looks like a nice clean 'n fix upper if the price was right. Fine wet n dry and 0000 wire wool for the neck, do you think a light slurry might help smooth the grain? and a light Danish Oil or Waxing. As for the body? Blue Car T Cut type stuff, more as a cleaner! and then as is? Toothpaste is a mild abrasive, maybw a light going over on the headstock. Looks nice n thin, could quite fancy one of them, acoustic bridge gives it a simple look rather than going large with a stop tail or 3 point. Flats?
  19. On budget open style tuners... I slacken the peg screw a little, dab of coppa slip (which is slightly abrasive) on the worms, and give the tuners a good few turns to remove platting flashing and help the gear to worm meshing... then clean off, re tighten the peg screw and apply a dab of vaseline... tuners feel way smoother then... That and a clean and pencil lead of the nut improves tuning feel and often stability for nothing! Worth a go before reaching for the credit card, same goes for the bridge, with new A2 Stainless Steel 'Dog Point' Saddle screws for £2 from Spaldings via the bay. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DOG-POINT-A2-STAINLESS-STEEL-METRIC-SOCKET-ALLEN-GRUB-SCREWS-M3-M4-M5-M6-/293221192240?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0
  20. Order a gig bag, and the muppets4music dont even use it for extra protecting for the guitar inside the box!
  21. 7mm is an odd size... as in most things would use 6mm, 8mm or 10mm... 7mm for the self tappers on the back of washing machines etc. You might get a cheapy 1/4" drive 'Rolson' set with sockets and screwdriver bits and a screwdriver handle... Poundland, Wilko etc...
  22. 7mm nut driver? Have you got a mini socket set? https://www.talkbass.com/threads/90-japanese-jackson-truss-rod-tool.1415741/?amp=1565205339
  23. The Sunburst looks more Brownburst or Tobaccoburst... and all the better for it without the yellow n red. Some similar JB Blah Blah...
  24. GAS Lighting.... been a 'thing' for years! even predates the Precision Bass Gass! - and who has never set fire to their own farts as a kid?
  25. Projector LED types seem popular are quite compact and robust... prolly have a versatile built in 'sound to light' or timed change effects... Rather than the old Par 48s and gels...
