I bought 6 basses and sold 11. So, I am ending the year at -5 basses. I guess that makes me the winner 😉

1991 EBMM Stingray 2EQ. Great bass with cool Bernard Edwards/Louis Johnson/Timmy C vibes. Thanks again, @Dov65 for finding it for me 👍

Not sure why you want to buy the headstock of a Ric copy, but, hey, more power to you 😉

Yes, bands are turning into "glorified T-shirt companies": https://www.theguardian.com/music/2022/oct/21/im-with-the-brand-how-merch-saved-the-music-industry -
The deals I posted are genuinely good one; however, you are right that most BF "bargains" are not to be trusted: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/black-friday-deals-warning-which-brands-b1041598.html

It is perfectly legit. Sometimes also known as Paulownia. Tree is known for being fast-growing and the wood for being very light. Other manufactures (e.g., Sandberg) also use it. More about the tree: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paulownia_tomentosa Sandberg's founder Holger Stonjek briefly talking here about Paulownia:

What I like about the Ian Hill neck is that it has the same nut width (1.64'') as a NS-2 or Euro (by comparison, the Doug Wimbish has 1.5''!) but feels slimmer/flatter/less chunky front to back than a NS-2 or Euro. Great neck profile!

It's gone! Did anyone here buy it? If yes, then please send me 20% commission. Thank you 😉

Yes, I know, the one with the SimS Super Qud pickups. That's his first Spector signature bass and really different than other Spectors (so, a true signature bass). However, I was just saying that his second signature model is not really a "signature" one but just the already existing Euro LT with the FFs in a different colour (red instead of black). There is nothing "signature" about his new signature model, still a great bass though. The Spector website lists both models: The SimS model - Euro 4 LX Rudy Sarzo - https://www.spectorbass.com/product/euro4-lx-rudy-sarzo/ The Fishman model - Euro 4 LT Rudy Sarzo - https://www.spectorbass.com/product/euro4-lt-rudy-sarzo/

I think his second "signature" model is actually the same as the previously available limited-edition Euro LT with the FF pickups and preamp (the one I had). The only difference: the previous ones were black, this one is red. In this video, Rudy mentions that he saw the bass at the Fishman booth at NAMM and immediately liked it.

Spector fans, Great offer from PMT B'ham - new Spector Euro 4 LT Rudy Sarzo for £1,503.88 (reduced from £2,575!). Very tempting but I had a Euro 4LT with the FF pickups before (in black) and the neck is just too chunky for my taste. Killer sounds and looks though! Check it out: https://www.pmtonline.co.uk/spector-euro-4-lt-rudy-sarzo-signature-bass-scarlett-red-gloss Link to the exact specs from the Spector website: https://www.spectorbass.com/product/euro4-lt-rudy-sarzo/

Interesting character. Colour-wise it looks like an inverted Flea bass.

Here is a nice-looking NT one, admittedly not from the early 90s but from 2002 (not my bass, no affiliation with the seller): https://bassbros.co.uk/product/2002-warwick-thumb-bass-thru-neck/

What is achievable? Buying the bass, wearing Spandex or both? 😉

Spector Fans, If you are looking for a stunning looking Spector bass, then go and check out the marketplace here on BC. There's an amazing NS-2 with one of the finishes I have seen. Real stunner. Here is the link (not my bass, no affiliation with the seller):
