Would this not be in breach of your injunction? 😁 Pretty happy with my team at the moment. Maruszczyk Jake covers 5 string Bon Jovi tribute needs, with a modded Sterling 5 as back up. Gibson Les Paul Jnr DC covers my blues band requirements, with Aria Pro II CSB 'Black n Gold' as back up as they sound 'similar'. Then on the bench I have my Squier JV Precision ('cos that ain't going nowhere), a Squier VM Mustang, my Frankenstein Honcore (my go-to for practice at the moment) and a newly acquired Hofner Ignition Club intended for those really bad back days. Stagg EUB and electro-acoustic are semi-retired but on a retainer in case I ever need them.

You can buy larger silica gel packs from Halford or similar that are used to prevent windscreen misting up in old cars. One of those would have a greater effect than the little sachets. I had one in a leaky old Skoda that absolutely did the trick, there was a colour indicator on it so you knew when to dry it out again.

I had one of the G3s for a little while but couldn't get used to the body shape. Very thin but very broad - seemed like I was wrestling with an occasional table. Played beautifully, though.

I have the TGI Extreme and am very pleased with them - 2 x bags for regular basses and one for an acoustic bass. The best vfm I have tried. I also discovered that a Fender Mustang fits exactly into some scoped rifle bags (or at least the particular one I got), which offer good protection, have pockets (for ammo) and are cheap in comparison to guitar bags.

My Maruszczyk Jake 5 has plenty good low B string, as does my Sterling 5 - both are passive with Delano P pup.

That's quite a bad B stock - there's dents and chips in the paint and everything!

I like the look of these and the improvements seem perfect. But all my bass straps are configured differently so that each bass sits the same therefore I'd need one set per bass/strap as all the basses/straps are different lengths. If you swap between fretless/fretted or 5 string versions of the same then this is ideal.

Just looked in the mirror, huh? I found it easier just to give in. I started the year enthusiastically enough by joining in the 'gear abstinence challenge' but, having failed on a technicality (an equal value trade) I dived headfirst into my GAS and ended up buying 6 basses, 3 amps, a new cab etc etc.... Never say never.

I have a Squier VM Mustang that I like a lot. It's my second! A previous owner had swapped out the pickup for a Nordtstrand MN4, which I like, and also applied a cheeky Fender decal, which I can live with. I think you'd be hard pressed to tell this apart from the real thing now - except the weight. The few Fender Mustangs in black with maple necks I've seen online have all been exceedingly heavy whereas this is around 7.5lbs. Edit - lousy picture. My shaky hands!
