  3. If the officers and/sergeants mess get lively it’s called “mess rugby” if the ordinary ranks get lively it’s in front of the RSM in the morning 😄
  4. They did indeed I was on tour with them, but they also lost the English language when you wanted them to do something for you that required sweating 😂🤣
  5. I can back that up, I picked it up for him from bass direct I thought they’d handed me an empty box
  6. Purchased a bass off Will today at Bass Bros, the service was fantastic. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy there again, a real gent.
  7. Lovely looking bass though Andy, what does the puppy weigh then?
  8. This isn’t, but i couldn’t let @AndyTravis have all the fun of a new bass day on his own. I’ll do a proper new bass day thread when I’ve had time to process what I did today… 😂🤣
  9. Compressors, always a bone of contention.
  10. I’ve be been a fan of 3leaf for awhile now they certainly don’t hang around
  11. Now that’s a beautiful looking bass, too many strings for me but if you’ve tried the graphite neck and I know you have, you just know what’s it’s capable of.
  12. My pot is on a knife edge every time I see something I like but I’m really trying hard to save it for the Wal 😄 I do have a new crazy idea of acquiring a fretless caprice and getting rid of the Tony Franklin sig I’ve just mailed Musicman to see if they can provide a neck, I must say I haven’t seen one in the wild anywhere.
  13. Beautiful bass I’m really into my musicman lately. Alas too many strings for me I prefer a D-tuner for the few songs I need it for. but glwts
  14. I wish I’d been that fast with Wal they sold the other day 😩
  15. I’ll buy it from you the day after 😂🤣
  16. Same here, my cutlass is the white with mint guard maple board, not sure I’d want a matching pair but I’ll see what comes up
  17. Also take a look at some of the musicman sub/Sterling range (not the USA Sterling.) they play and sound great with right strings and set up
  18. There’s the slippery slope, before you know it you’ll have 5 basses, pedals by the bucket load and a stack of cabs capable of playing live aid. welcome and enjoy the ride
  19. If I tried that they’d sound like used French hookers g strings… 😩
  20. Lovely looking bass Andy, love my stingray. I’m seriously thinking of picking up a Caprice to go with my cutlass, I still can’t put that bass down it’s phenomenal. I’m really into the musicman playability and tones.
  21. Yes, they’re great for drapes and other material dressing onstage and can be just pulled apart afterward
  22. Can’t beat some black tat and a Kimble gun for the best stage dressing 😂🤣
  23. Get 2 8ohm cabs you then have a smaller practice/rehearsal/coffee shop setup with one cab and for those glory balls to the wall gigs you can break out the stack and go medieval on their a.s.s Bag end cabs are old school heavy but they can take some power
  24. Any bass player with all his gear in any band…. 🤪
  25. Queue the second hand status market price jump…
