Maybe should have called it “wife’s impatience”
  2. Oscar asked me if I’d ever dealt with them before. I pointed out I’d never had any reason to complain and after a few seconds thought he replied “well I guess that’s a good thing then” a very nice guy indeed.

You sir have been scammed it’s obviously a fake it only has 3 tuning pegs…
  4. So, I’m not a fan of 5 strings, they just become a thumb anchor for the times I’m hitting the E string, I’ve tried, just can’t get over it. I do love a Hipshot D-Tuner though as I like to cover a bit of grunge. I purchased a Wal the other day and like all my basses my first thought was D-tuner. After research I decided I needed an EB4 in gold… On further research I discovered Hipshot stopped making the EB4 😩 I fired off an email to hipshot asking about a model replacement number (expecting a nay and a hunt for a secondhand model) on the 28th of December (it’s the holidays, they won’t answer until the new year. To my suprise a few hours later I got a response from Oscar Yuan. please call us it’s a special order as we only have one left and in gold!! I like to think he went rummaging through dusty old boxes and emerged triumphant, dtuner held high, but he probably looked at the stock list on the PC 🤣😂 A call to the states and a quick conversation with Oscar and the item was ordered. 29th of December I got an invoice and dispatch note, it’s on its way. Oscar, thank you, Hipshot great customer service. Another happy customer.
  5. If your going to get it set up properly then just before you do, get on the web, look for some videos and have a bash. It’s really not that hard once you get into it as long as there are no problems with the bass. There are some decent instructional videos out there from some top luthiers and professional techs. You might surprise yourself.
  6. How about an SVP Pro or SVT IIP they come up for a reasonable price now and again and you could use your setup as the power side

  8. @AndyTravis sir you’ve already broken me and you shouldn’t be anywhere near this thread, I’ll give you until the 8th of Jan at the latest 😂🤣
  9. I’m sure the MkII will bring us joy and separate us from more cash 😂🤣
  10. I’m looking into that at the moment, from what I gather you preprogramme from the app the settings into the headphones and then the app isn’t always needed. maybe tomorrow will make it clearer
  11. There were so many good tunes and musicians, early recordings always remind me of blues parties in Birmingham, always sounded like the bands were recorded in someone’s living room, and sometimes they did play there
  12. Love this track, and although not strictly reggae zero7 did an amazing cover of this. The bass line belongs in this thread
  13. Growing up in Birmingham they had a big impact on my musical tastes
  14. I’ve already failed I know what I’m after 😂🤣
  15. I’m sure it’s a great piece of kit but with that amount of knobs buttons and switches I’m wondering if the name “simplifier” might be a tad ambitious… 😄 Anyway GLWTS
  16. @Ander87 fixed it for you 😄

Ordered afternoon of day one, arrived morning of day three. Excellent service. I’ll definitely use them again
  18. Part 2 will be coming very shortly now I’ve had a chance to put it through it’s paces…
  19. Try a power amp separate preamp setup you can pick preamps up reasonably priced, be they rack mount or pedal based and the options are huge for trying different sounds and manufacturers.
  20. Waza Bass Air Great bit of kit, everything built in metronome, drums, eq and patches for saving your custom sounds. Hooks straight up to phone for more options and media playback. Great headphones for just listening to music. Make sure it’s the Bass version not the guitar version though it has more options.
  21. Welcome, a fellow Brummy here too there are a few of us around. There a few P’s on the market place you’d have to look I don’t pay much attention to p’s 😄
