  1. Yes, it's usually the darker/browner variety with a rosewood board in a Pino style that comes to mind when I think of a tort/fiesta red combination, but this redder version complements the fiesta red and maple very nicely here. So much so I'm considered getting one myself. Someone will get a handsome bass! Funnily enough I also paid £625 for mine. A decent price imho 👍🏻
  2. Very nice! My #1 is the same model, also with TI Flats. I have the stock gold pickguard on mine though. Really like the look of the tortoiseshell on yours! GLWTS
  3. Just had this out to take some more pictures, had a bit of a play and yeah... I'm not selling this. 🤣 Withdrawn!
  4. Recently purchased from this forum, and in fine condition. I bought this as it reminded me of my old bass (same model), and what a fun and inspiring instrument that was. This one is lovely too, but I find myself more at home on long scale these days, and this deserves to be used. Bass has recently been restrung with La Bella 760F-MUS flatwounds as part of a pro setup. It has a Gotoh string tree, Schaller S-Lock strap buttons, and 70s style F neck plate. Included is a new Gator Cases Gator ICON Series Bag G-ICONELECTRIC gig bag for it, which cost £150. As many know, it's hard to find a gig bag to fit a Mustang Bass, but this one is spot on. Collection/meet-up preferred. Cash is king but will consider a trade or part exchange.
  5. They are indeed. I have bought and sold a few, but I keep coming back for more. I think I bought my first one from you... circle of life!
  6. Lovely example of sunburst/maple combo ☀️
  7. One of my all time favourite pedals, which I have owned multiple times. It has been described as a 'dub switch' and it is that and more besides. I am just looking to perfect a more minimalist set up at the moment. This one was purchased very recently on Basschat, and is in excellent collection save a small chip on the e of the word "designed" on the front of the pedal. Asking just what I paid for it. Free postage within the UK available. Looking for a straight sale, but could be tempted by a trade or part exchange for a nice compressor pedal.
  8. I bought a pedal from Chris. Great communication and speedy delivery of a nice bit of gear. Cheers!
  9. With the heads opened up as pictured, are the pots accessible for cleaning out any pesky dust that may accumulate over time?
  10. Squier strap buttons from Mustang Bass. Free postage.
  11. Fender .045 - .105 roundwounds, stock strings straight off my Squier CV 60s Mustang Bass. Good as new! Free postage in UK.
  12. One of my all time favourites. PM incoming!
  13. Bought a bass from Ash, the second one I've had from him. All went well at our train station meet up, and it was good to have a friendly chat about gear etc.! Deal with with absolute confidence!
  14. What a lovely old thing. If this were up north rather than down south, I'd be very interested. GLWYS!
  15. I watched it and think it's a great cover. There's a cameo from a certain guitarist 3 minutes in that I didn't see coming! 😆
  16. Oh that's interesting - I'd not heard that version before. Will check it out!
  17. Where in Wirral are you based and what colour was the original finish, please?
  18. Precision Bass wiring kit, came out of my MIM, to be replaced by one of KiOgon's looms. The pots are A500K and B500K and the capacitor is 0.05uf (ic 503Z). The jack is Switchcraft. Will post for free.
  19. Free UK postage available. Here's what SD say about the quarter pounder: "There’s a reason this is our most popular Bass pickup: massive tone. The QP has a fat, punchy tone that pushes P-bass pickups past previous models with design and frequency improvements. The quarter-inch diameter pole pieces expand the magnetic field and extend the frequency ranges for a fat, full, punchy sound with tremendous mid-range presence and maximum output. Though often used for heavy rock tones, this pickup gives amazing tonal versatility, making it a favorite across the board in live and studio settings."
