    You really should. Octave is essential imo - many threads on what’s the best but a second hand MXR is hard to argue with for the price and sounds great. Two voices and lovely mid bump button….

    Great thread. My first was some no name precision c. 25 years ago. Natural, maple neck, black guard. Buzzed like an angry wasp. Went out of the window at a party (I’d leant it to a “friend”) and into a pond. Started refinishing it and bought new bits. Got bored with that and took it to the tip. Kept the parts in a box for another 15 years then sold them!

Fantastic drive / grit pedal, from a little breakup to some thick distortion. Blend control is invaluable. Level pad switch. Hook velcro on the bottom. Boxed. Battery or PSU (EU PSU included FWIW): usual Boss centre negative DC, draws 22mA. Manual says: "Internal Bypass Mode Switch ... remove the Bass Soul Food’s bottom cover ... When the switch is set to True, its upper position, bypass will be True Bypass ... When the switch is set to Buffer, its lower position, bypass will be Buffered ... The switch is normally set to “True” in the factory". I've never had the back off, personally. My feedback. Thanks for looking!

Fantastic chorus and flange pedal, great range of sounds and you can retain / lose the low end as you need. A few minor chips to the paint work but in excellent working condition. Hook velcro on the bottom. Boxed. Battery or PSU (neither included): usual Boss centre negative DC, draws 30mA. Manual says: "An internal switch selects TRS Stereo Hardwire bypass or Mono True bypass. Factory set to Mono True bypass". So you live and learn... I've never had the back off, personally.
