1. Wish I still had my Aguilar.Awesome amps. Tom is a really nice guy to deal with.
2. I used to have how dare you on cassette many moons ago.i was still at school then used to love that album. Hate dreadlock holiday tho' with a passion. A band with huge talent .
3. As mentioned above, let's see the model name / no. When trying your speakers, what were you using? ( cd/ iPod/ turntable ). Are the connector leads faulty? The rotel mentioned , would be ok IMHO . I would say , get an amp 40 watts max ( 20 watts per channel). Something like a Cambridge audio perhaps , where you get good quality without spending bundles. I think kiwi has an amp,for sale , which may be ideal. Don't forget to get decent speaker cable .79'strand cable should be sufficient
4. Mmm, there are 5000+. Tai women looking for men apparently . Nice bass. Where are you based? Trades?
5. Shame . The master of the fuller sound.
6. I had the roadrunner single . Pretty good
7.
I saw these supporting Machine Head a few years back. I quite liked them. Lots of energy.
They sound like so many other bands out there at the moment. I think the bit when the singer throws up in the sink, sums it up really . They are bad, but what confuses me is the lack of hair and the thousands of tattoos to compensate. He looks really young too..
8. Aaah, ub40 . Swing lo, hate it hate it hate it !
9. They're just prima donnas
10. Yes! I remember that one. I may track it down on you pube and see if it's as good as it once was
11. I haven't heard any of their stuff. Guess I'm just too old, but Scouting for girls really irritates me. It sounds too jimmy saville/ Rolf Harris . Repulsive . Are there any band names you hate , regardless of whether you like them or not?
12. Poxy spellchecker ! Bowie not boss
13.
B-side to Bowie's Knock on Wood was a live version of Panic in Detroit, this was many years before it was ever officially released as part of the expanded David Live CD. His version of Knock on Wood was nothing special, the version of Panic in Detroit was great. Featured a fine bass flourish by Herbie Flowers to boot..
My fave boss track queen bitch was a b side. Was it rebel rebel?
14. Cool! I often guessed the settings in rehearsal rooms , due to time issues and dodgy equipment. When I let another guy use my trace Elliott at a gig , he did me a favour. The favour being, totally inaudible in the video that was shot of the gig, leading me to sell the heavy piece of s@it and get a much better amp and sound .
15. Was a huge iron maiden fan for years, but bring your daughter to the slaughter & can I play with madness are atrocious.even Suggs would refuse them. Anything by madonna. I'm not just saying that , and admire how clever she is, but her stuff is awful. 99% of disco or Motown is a huge turnoff for me . Rapture by blondie , is one of the worst things I have heard. More to follow
16. Rivers of Babylon ! Became a no.1 hit on its own. Brown girl in the ring ,was the a side. Years ago, I got spirit of radio, with the trees on the b side. Cool12"
17. Thanks Tom ,) Tom is a very good bass player , who knows what he's talking about. Listen to the man, and buy this bass. More pics later
18. Some bad attitude there.( except the colour)
19. Cheers Tom;) Have fun with the 8 string . Good seeing you again Can't find your feedback thread
