  1. I have the fretless version of this , which is great . Couldn't find the fretted version , and ended up getting a fretted Warwick when I had funds . Nice bass . Glwts
  2. This bass rocks on so many levels and Nik is a great guy to do business with wont be around long . Have a bump,😼
  3. I still have my Washburn status from 1988. Apologies for the long ramble : It had a very bright ,twangy modern sound which I loved. When I was playing in a blues band back in the mid '90s the band members preferred the sound of my Hohner cricket bat bass. I played in various bands and used the Washburn status as my main bass. However, getting a bit carried away at 1 band rehearsal I banged the bass enthusiastically damaging the active circuitry . I had it looked at a few times, before a guitar tech in Denmark st gave me a choice of replacing the active circuitry . Or ( if the pickups were powerful enough to work without 9v battery ) , just remove the circuitry and the volume and tone pedals are redundant . i went for the latter . Playing in my last 2 bands ( classic rock covers ) the band members preferred the less bright sound . The guitar tech did say that in the '80s there was a trend to make active basses as a fashion and some were better without the active circuitry . While I think that the Washburn sounds very similar to my Steinberger , the band members hated the twangy tone . They are great and very versatile basses . I think it would be best to keep it and get the active circuitry put back in . Hope this helps .
  4. contains all original ,and slightly tatty paraphernalia & original gig bag, will give extra gig bag bought back from the amazon . This vintage bass is a great bass for fast picking style ..and metal😼 There is a slight wiring issue which may be from the replacement jack at the time . This causes the bass to eat batteries very quickly .Easy fix for someone technically minded.NOW FIXED by Absolute Music in Poole at cost . The stickers on the battery cover will be removed if required . I have too many bases and only 2 hands , so something has to go. Based in Poole Dorset . UK only preferred . Prefer collection in person . If you want it posted please arrange your own courier .
  5. Looks like a guitar amp, but is in fact a comfy stool that also comes in handy for storing your effects pedals and strings. I have 2 , but am restructuring my flat, so haven't room really for both The knob is missing from the side , but it locks anyway . Has a carrying handle as well. Cost a lot when released but now discontinued . Collection from Parkstone . 😼
  6. Mmm.. This ad is looking rather messy . I've just withdrawn my Taxi bass for sale . The brown one is staying . I may withdraw this in next couple of days and rethink my strategy . In the meantime ..Bump! 😼
  7. Thanks Bolo 😺 I have had interest . I think the fact that it's awkward to post has put people off understandably . Well tbh , after the realisation that I could just put it back into the gigbag and use occasionally and it's Easter Sunday , I may as well keep it . 😼
  8. Can't remember the model number but mines called the Roland micro cube RX Bass. Hope that helps 😼
  9. I don't gig anymore , but have the micro cube as I now live in a smaller flat . If I didn't have the micro cube , I'd have this as the only missing thing on mine is the looper . It appeals to me as the looper built in seems even more plug and play and less messing around . How is the looper on this ? Bump😼
  10. Great amps ! I had the s c , when I was gigging until I stopped back in 2010. Great warm sounding amp . If I was still playing in bands , I'd be getting this . Great price too . Have a bump !😼
  11. Okay.. I'm gonna keep the brown one . £999 for the black hamburger bass , which is great for metal and fast pick playing 😼
  12. I just logged in here . Again . Straight away , it's here . When pressing the 'close ' button it doesn't shut down the page. it goes straight to the marketing site . Annoying
  13. If I was still playing in bands and not had so many basses, I would have this . Looks very "metal" 😸👍
  14. Okay . This is getting weirder by the minute . I was just browsing on another forum and no problem . As soon as I came here, I saw the bell noting me of additional comments . Then all of a sudden, the same page appears and my iPad was getting redirected to that site . It seems that basschat have got it from somewhere .
  15. Thanks ped😺 I firgot for a moment , that maybe I should have posted this in site issues ? Yes it's my home broadband . In a way , it could happen on any site I was browsing on, but it just happened to be Basschat 😸 all the best
  16. Just spoke to Vodafone . Basically , whenever you press "agree " or "allow" then 3rd party companies can contact you in this way . Vodafone have placed a bar on this so that I don't get any nasty bill surprises if I accidentally pressed a button . no probs with Vodafone . Great service . I now have to go into my browser and delete : history/ cash cookies . I suppose it's a heads up if anyone else has experienced this 😼

  18. Wow! Thanks very much Pete 😺👍. Very good of you. Thanks for the kind words. Tbh, I'm not sure if I should keep that one . The market can be slow , so I may change my mind . 😼
  19. Oops! Tbh I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted to sell them separately .Having said that , I have just entered the prices now. Thanks
  20. Great stuff, great price, great basschatter bump😼
  21. I Steinberger£999i am in a strange situation at the moment , where I'm no longer playing and holding onto nostalgia . After moving into a smaller flat , I guess I have to be ruthless and ask myself " do I really need all of these basses ?" How many hands have you got ?" The basses I am keeping are the jack Daniels , the Washburn status , the fretless vester which is a copy of a Warwick and an actual Warwick which I bought here from a great basschatter in August last year. Anyway , I have here the Steinberger XM3 not so common as the XM2 which is a rarity in itself A few bits of wear and tear obviously for a 30+ year vintage instrument . It comes with original gig bag which has seen bettter days tbh , plus a brand new gig bag purchased from amazon a couple of months ago. Also slighly tattered envelope and paraphernalia . One thing to note : It eats batteries and should be looked at by a tech . Socket or wiring issue ?? comes with additional brand new tiger gig bag , purchased all the way from the amazon. The other bass Custom fretless 4 string made by Mybass of this parish. 2 piece mahogany main body wood that was off a very old piece of furniture. American black walnut top . A five piece maple / Wenge neck. Macassar ebony fretboard The control guard may be Macassar , but peter is not 100% sure on this. Controls are vol/vol/ tone. Although headless , the tuning system uses standard string single ball ends . A bit like the Steinberger tuning system but it fits normal strings and not headless . There are Seymour Duncan humbuckers. There are 2 strap holders allowing 2 strap place options . Scale length is 34" with a double octave neck . nut width is a tad over 1.5"/39.3mm.It has 3mm side dit's starting at low F . There are 6 wood chipped screws holding the neck solidly in place. The neck leans more towards a p bass size than a jazz bass. The body and neck have an oil finish (try oil on body). This bass is very light in weight and has a great sound . The action is light to the touch . although pictured with 3 strings , I have a new set available . Just haven't had time . They're dadarrio. comes with excellent paddded Rockbag gig bag. Trade wise? Maybe a green Yamaha attitude , which means that I've trimmed one bass. or anything Moog , as I have just got a grandmother . Now for the pictures. Pm me with offers I'm based in Parkstone Dorset Dont wanna post, but if you arrange your own courier ..😼 More pics to come
