  1. I bought the album years ago. it's roscoe beck . He has his own range of signature fenders iirc.Haven't played it for years . if you don't get anymore replies I could check the cd cover over the weekend
  2. Thanks bass assassin . If there was a way of swapping that unit with a steinberger one I would . The steinberger ones come up on ebay a lot of the time ,but I have a feeling that if I got one it wouldn't fit . I'm wondering if I took it to a tech, whether it would be expensive to repair and would it be a permanent fix in a good way, or whether they may dissemble it and spray lubricant and I'd have same problem further down the line. Its not my main bass , but it is the lightest .
  3. Keep a lookout for apps next week . Thanksgiving and Black Friday .. in the meantime I'm after a 3 seater leather sofa.
  4. 👍 I notice you have good speaker wire there also . Looks like qed. 79 strand ( apologies for wearing the anorak 😼)
  5. Nice bass😼 I don't think yours has the Kubicki style wheels tho? It may be relevant , or may not . glad I've given you ideas 😹
  6. Thanks for that Bassbod. I'll look into it when I'm feeling brave😼
  7. There's nothing to say really , as the posts above and below sum everything up you have managed to stand back and assess what's right for you . Enjoy the time off Lozz and at least you know now that you will feel better doing things on your terns , whatever you decide what to to and how you're doing it . all the best 😼
  8. Howdy! I have a nice custom made fretless purchased from a basschatter and all was good until the tuners couldn't turn anymore and I could not get the bass back to standard tuning . I sprayed some dw40 to no avail the a string snapped . I'm wondering if it's best to give it in to a repairers or is it something like a washer could be needed? The tuning system is more like a kubicki with the ' wheels' by the bridge but steinberger type tuners also,. please advise if you can Thanks
  9. FWIW , I thought at the time that the bass of dd verni ( overkill ) had the best cutting twangy sound from the '80's thrash era. You could actually hear it cutting through . Could be wrong , but I would think active bass makes a difference . You wouldn't get that sound on a telecaster bass for example . I have the demanufacture cd from fear factory which also may appeal . On a slight tangent , I managed to find the drivers to my line 6 toneport ux1 which features pod farm line 6 . There are loads of presets for guitar more than bass, but the sound you want is on that . great for home noodling on your computer . Maybe the sounds would be available on the bass pod ? Not too expensive .
  10. Too many basses already I'm afraid . 🐠
  11. When I moved home a couple of years ago, I bought a Warwick on BC. It's nice , but I wish it was this dolphin . glwts🐠
  12. These earlier steinbergers have that professional sound which is a step up from the hohner copies and probably the spirit models which I haven't tried . Built like a tank , and great for public transport ..and for keeping the drummer happy without poking his eye out. Nice shape for metal great price too ..😼
  13. Well if I was gigging again especially in a metal band and I had the funds, I'd have this . I have seen the orange version of this that rocks also anyway have a bump for a bass of intent 😼
  14. Love chicken foot , so beg to differ here . Great live also audioslave ? I bought the first album , but only played it twice . mind funk . Had the album , but sold it . One good cheesy track..They supported someone at hammy o and were ok . They could have been much better . winery dogs ? Played the first album a lot . Saw them twice . excellent gig at Camden underworld . The gig at the forum was beginning to bore me. Asia ? Bored me silly when I used to hear them on the radio sabbath with dio . I saw them on the heaven and hell tour . Truly awful I can't stand that album either except neon nights . The live evil album is truly dreadful imho . They had vinnie appice on drums at the time .
  15. Pretty groovy bass. obviously status inspired which is a great thing . That ''handle' I would say is inspired by the Ibanez Jem series of guitars which are expensive . Worth mentioning 😼
  16. Sorry about delay mellow. The wiring issue was something on the circuitry. Cost £60+🙀 from absolute music in Poole . I have been playing it over and over since repair and it's a great bass. Still for sale reluctantly . I notice you're from( st )angers which is not UK . This means PayPal( which is messy with fees etc) and trying to find a box to ship in. I bought a Warwick bass from a nice French chap 2 years ago on basschat and paid various fees . Smooth transaction .just more costly than a UK purchase .something to bear in mind . Apologies for confusion . Forgot to mention my location originally. Now updated
  17. Well... just got it repaired . Falling in love with this all over again . Oh 🦌
  18. Nice bass. Apparently way better than the spirit range . Like this a lot . Must resist ... glwts . Won't be here long
  19. Lovely colour and cat . Glwts😼
  20. Yeah, that gig at the o2 was really good . Well thought out stageshow .
  21. I was offered a free tkt from a friend of mine , who lives in London . Not living in Twickenham anymore I declined . Then there is the south worst train strike . I saw maiden at twix a few years ago . They played a blinder, but the sound was worse than dreadful . i saw Metallica at the o2 a couple of years ago and I assume it's more or less the same set . I'm too old and unbothered about outdoor gigs now . I was thinking of seeing rammstein when they will probably play Twickenham or Wembley . Yes I know they have announced the Milton Keynes one for now , but this tour is gonna last till 2021 . Don't think I'll bother though and await the dvd from this tour . As for metallicorp , I think they've run out of ideas and have seen them at their peak . Another garage days album? 🙀
  22. One of the best les Paul basses I've seen . Bump🦅
  23. The bear rocks 100.3 Edmonton used to be good imho listening to seanna Jefferson / Jess Jackson around 7.3opm our time (Canadian lunchtime ) crazy Canadian humour . Think billy talent / nickleback/ Volbeat etc I liked the nutters phoning up. Lots of adverts . They have a good website . However, around 2015 I heart radio amalgamated it with other stations and it is unable to be heard outside Canada . Annoying . I'll be lurking to see what others suggest ..
  24. Thank you Matbard . Headless are always marmite type basses. Having said that , they seem to have gone through a resurgence with the metal guys these days . These are also great basses for keeping friendly with the drummer in small venues 😼
  25. Schecters are cool! Have a bump
