1.
Take a 34" scale bass and tune it to Eb-Ab-Db-Gb. Put a capo on the first fret. You now have a very close to 32" scale bass tuned to E-A-D-G. It should give you a feel for what you are going to get. Of course the dot markers won't be in the usual places.
+1 - I tried this before buying one. Capo on the second fret & you're not far off the short scale of a Mustang bass or EB-3
 2.
Lovely looking bass.
Cheers - sounds & plays as good as it looks too! B.
 3. Sold tm486 an amp today. Really straightforward transaction - sent a few messages to each other then met up to do a face-to-face deal. Cheers! B.
 4. Thanks for all the positive comments - it's a great bass, but I'm just not using it so it's got to go. Bumping it up here with a reduced price before it goes on Gumtree... Cheers, B.
 5.
SoundsLive (Online peeps) have been helpful on the phone, prices are good too, but I'm having second thoughts about making an actual purchase now. (one is looming BTW)
In the shop the after-sales has been great in my dealings with them. The guy who's described in this thread was actually really friendly & helpful when I was looking for a new strap the other week too... I think most city centre shops have to try & filter out real buyers from tyre kickers & they tend to get it wrong with younger customers most of the time. They certainly did when I was younger!
 6.
Valid point brother.! I sort of like it, but would only think of grabbing a lefty model and then reverse that. At £611 too pricing too.
Think they'll be significantly less than £611 in a few months - I love the Jag shape & prefer a 32" scale, so if I'm not tempted at that price then I can't see these flying out of the shops...
 7. Think someone at Fender's been taking a bit of inspiration from the latest Reverend range...
 8.
Wow! Never seen one of these before - very unusual, looks amazing! That colour scheme is classic, it always works...
Cheers! It's a great design - whenever I look at it I always think that if Leo Fender was still into offset bodies when he designed the Stingray then it wouldn't have been a million miles away from this... B.
 9.
This is gorgeous!
Cheers - it is!
 10.
intonation all over the place when it gets too hot too...
Totally! Bringing it back on topic, I can confirm that this bass has absolutely nothing in common with an easter egg whatsoever! Cheers, B.
 11.
kinda hollow sounding
And you can't push them too hard or they'll start to break up. I'll get my coat... B.
 12.
*looks around for trade bait* I've got some easter eggs...
Not really looking for any trades at the mo - and I always find the mids are lacking with easter eggs these days...
 13.
please stop waving this around in front of us
I will - as soon as it's found a new home!
 14. Back up for sale! Cheers, B.
 15. Hi - couldn't find a feedback thread, so started one off. Met up with grumble today & sold him a bass. Great guy to deal with & would definitely trade with him again. Hope you had a good day out - enjoy your new basses! Cheers, B.
 16. Hi JTUK - the custom stuff's a bit out of my budget, so it's the cheaper Korean soapbars I'm trying to find some soundclips for. Cheers, B.
 17. Sold Matt an Aria bass today. Great guy to deal with - really straightforward transaction & we had a good chat about basses too. Enjoy it! Cheers, B.
 18. Does anyone have any sound clips of these in action please? Thinking of using a pair of them on a project & really want to hear them in action... Cheers, B.
 19.
right then - one bridge about to be ordered. thanks so much for all your help.
No probs - enjoy!
 20.
just what i was thinking where did you get your scratchplate made ? btw - that link you posted - is that the exact model you bought ? i'm after the dimensions and hole spacing. thanks.
I'd drop the Bass Doc a PM about the plate - he made me one recently for another bass & it's great! That was the bridge I bought - I think it's a copy of the Gotoh 301. The Westone bridge screw holes at the back are Fender spacing this bridge covers over the two non-standard holes at the front. Cheers, B.
 21.
i was wondering about a gotoh - i've got one on another of my basses and like them a lot, but they are pricey...so thanks for the tip. now...black or silver ?
The chrome one looks good on mine. If you're into black then it would be worth having a 3-ply scratchplate made up - I did & it looks great!
 22.
thanks i'm in two minds about the bridge - get a beefier one to help with the weight of the neck, or keep it old skool.
I swapped the original out for a cheap Gotoh copy from eBay & it was a big improvement - perfect fit & much more solid.
 23.
here's the ebay auction for some better pics !
It was that one - nice!
 24. If it's the one I think it was then you grabbed yourself a bargain! Have a few parts from an old Concord, so give me a PM if you want an original bridge... Cheers, B.
