Did a deal with Spencer on a bass via a postal deal. Absolutely brilliant to deal with & would definitely do so again. Cheers! B.
  2. Hi - this is a really cute short scale (29.5" scale) Jazz from Bacchus in a lovely Dark Lake Placid Blue finish that I imported from Japan a while back. Nice & light at 7.4lb according to my luggage scales. Didn't feel the need to mod it as, so all original & has only seen home use since I bought it. Still have the original box & branded gig bag too so UK shipping is an option if collection from Newcastle wouldn't work for you... Let me know if you need any more pics... πŸ‘
  3. Thanks - now sold... πŸ‘
  4. Hi @Raslee - using cheap luggage scales it comes in at just under 8lb. Balances really well too...
  5. Hi - ordered this from the States as part of the recent limited run (apparently it's one of 158 globally), but it isn't seeing much use so putting it up for sale. Really nice instrument & one of the best short scale Precision-style instruments that has passed through my hands. I originally bought it as a modding platform & it briefly had Ultralites / rounds fitted, but I preferred it as stock so restrung with the Ernie Ball flats. Also comes with a really good padded Sterling gig bag. I'd prefer a cash/collection deal, but UK postage may be an option as I have the original box. Could potentially trade for a short scale bass, but nothing specific in my sights just now...
  6. Just did my third postal deal with @Schlippy & was another smooth transaction - great from start to finish. Enjoy your new bass! πŸ‘
  7. Hi - bought this on here a while ago & it's lovely, but putting it up for sale as it's not seeing a lot of use just now & it deserves to be played... This is one of the Dan Lakin (Lakland founder) range that Ashdown put out for a while. It's a really well-thought out take on a Jazz with a really nice oil-finished neck, Hipshot Ultralite tuners & the Inca Silver body is proportioned just right to the shorter scale (unlike a few I've tried...). Really light at 3.5kg & strung with D'Addario tapes. Bridge has been swapped out for a vintage threaded one, but I have the original Wilkinson one so will include it along with a gig bag. Pickups are a good pair of single coils & controls are Volume / Blend / Tone. Only thing to point out is the blend is backwards (i.e. turn right to favour the neck) - not sure if that's standard, but not been a problem to me. Collection from Newcastle would be preferred, but UK postage at cost should be fine at cost. I'd consider trades for a short scale bass with cash either way depending on the instrument, but not after anything specific at the moment. Give me a shout if you're interested... πŸ‘
  8. Hi - putting my Sterling Short Scale Stingray up for sale. This is probably one of the loveliest basses I've ever owned - and I've had a few! πŸ˜‰πŸ‘ It's the current Fiesta Red model, but @ash (who owned it before me) replaced the neck with a beautiful roasted maple / rosewood board (instead of maple), so a bit of a one-off. Currently strung with new D'addario Chromes & comes with a spare single ply black plate (made by Armstrong Music) along with tags / box etc. Nice & light at around 3.5kg (7.8lb). Only selling it as the Stingray sound doesn't really suit what I do & I'm after something a bit more old school really. Looking for Β£480 collected from Newcastle, but UK delivery should be possible at cost & I'd consider trades for another short scale bass with cash either way depending on what you have...

  9. Bought a bass from @ash the other day & it was a totally smooth, stress-free deal. Thanks again! πŸ˜πŸ‘
  10. Bought a lovely Ashdown bass from @Fishfacefour & it was all good. Bass arrived bubble wrapped to the max exactly as described. In the process we discovered some common links from back in the day so that just added to an all round positive transaction - cheers! πŸ‘
  11. Would 22 frets be enough? The Cort Action Jr is a pretty amazing bass for the money. Shameless plug, but I'm thinking of moving this one on in Hooky red... πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  12. Just did another deal with @Schlippy & again he's been an absolute star to deal with. Cheers! πŸ‘
  13. Really nice short scale Japanese Jazz Bass. I imported it myself from new & from what I can see online it was only really available in Australia & Japan. Specs are at https://www.fender.com/en-AU/electric-basses/jazz-bass/made-in-japan-junior-collection-jazz-bass/5682100306.html Not had more than home use & close to new condition - scratchplate still has protective plastic on! Includes gigbag, tags etc. Currently strung with Low Tension La Bella flats, but have the.original rounds to throw in too. Price is cash/collected from Newcastle, but can post (have original box). 14. Giving this a bump - I'll throw in postage for Β£400 πŸ‘
  15. Thanks @Marc S - it's a beaut! πŸ‘
  16. Sold @Schlippy my Squier Jaguar & you couldn't ask for better. A completely stress-free transaction & a great guy to deal with - enjoy your new bass! πŸ‘
  17. Thanks - it is! They've made some nice tweaks to the design on this one. Couple of demos here: - https://youtu.be/QYTQdiM6J8w?feature=shared https://youtu.be/6a_kwMMN2N4?feature=shared
  18. A bit undecided about moving this lovely bass on, but need to make space for something incoming. It started life as a regular Squier Vintage Modified Short Scale Jaguar bass & has had a few upgrades: - - EMG Geezer Butler PJ set in coral & new Hosco knobs to fit the pots - Hipshot Licenced Ultralite machine heads - Red tort scratchplate - Generic high mass bridge - Fingerboard edges rolled & neck taken to a smooth matte finish I was going for a '60s Jazzmaster look & I think it turned out great! Weighs in at 7lb using luggage scales & plays really nicely. Cash / collection from Newcastle preferred, but postage should be fine with this one...
  19. I know what you mean about the strap button placement - the Gotoh buttons definitely help with that & make it feel more solid on a strap than other Danos I've had. I found it works best slung a little lower & sits nice next to my ever-expanding belly! πŸ€£πŸ‘
  20. Thanks @stewblack - it is. Still have the box it came to me in, so postage is available on this one... πŸ˜‰πŸ‘
  21. Ha! Yeah - they are 29.75" scale. Here's the closest thing I've found to an official spec on the UK distributor's site - https://www.jhs.co.uk/products/danelectro-longhorn-bass-red-hot
  22. Bit of a feeler this one - I'm still a bit undecided on selling it, but need to make way for something incoming. This is the new version of the Longhorn which adds binding, an F Hole & souped up pickups to the mix. Looks / plays / sounds great & is really light! I bought it new & since I had it I did this: - - Replaced stock tuners with Gotoh SD90s - Swapped out the strap buttons for Gotoh Contemporary ones, which makes it feel a lot more stable on a strap - Strung with Ernie Ball flats. They are the 'Group 2' 45-105 set - Took the gloss neck finish back to matte & rolled the fingerboard edges. There's a slight bit of finish wear on the E string side of the neck, but it's just cosmetic. Overall it makes it feel a lot more comfortable than it did out of the box I'll do this posted in the UK all in for the price, but a cash / collection deal in Newcastle would be preferred Pics: -
