  1. probably, Sudoku's for me, I'm hopeless at crosswords
  2. we've got 3 left in December, it all depends on what rules are bought in after the lockdown
  3. no it wasn't, it was one of the on board entertainment singers, they were doing a show of 70's music, fortunately they only did one punk song 😄
  4. Almost all the punk vocalist had a 'distinctive' style, but it wouldn't have worked if any of the punk bands had a proper singer, if you've ever heard Pretty Vacant sung 'properly' as I have on a cruise ship, you'll know what I'm talking about
  5. nobody mentioned Paul Weller? best description I read about him was that he sounded like Punch Drunk Boxer 😂
  6. him out of the Artic Monkeys, When I'm singing I try really hard not to slip into a mid Atlantic accent, hate myself when I do
  7. sky arts is now available on Freeview, I recorded it, not watched it yet, it'll probably be repeated
  8. I use mine at home and at practice, I never have to pair them them before use, I do before a gig to make sure nothing else is using the existing channel that the unit is using
  9. the problem with cash on collection is, unless you are careful the buyer can't complete the purchase without paying for it via paypal
  10. I use windows movie maker, not officially still available but it can be found with a bit of searching, I use the 2012 version
  11. not doubting you for a second but I've had a pair HD 280 pro's for 12 years or more, still on it's original cable, mind you the adjustable head band is held together with gaffer tape
  12. doesn't seem like he's trying to scam anyone, full description and you can go and view it
  13. I have enough trouble listening to a single album all the way through, I invariable listen to one side then put something else on, this from a man who has his mp3 player on shuffle
  14. happy enough with my Trace Elliot series 6 GP12 200 watt, and it only weighs 13Kg
  15. can't think of any tbh, but I'll await some suggestions
  16. nobody, it's just the old dodge, taken to the extreme, of inflating the price to make it look like a bargain, £40 for these strings is a bit high but not excessive
  17. interesting, I'm guessing I have the muscle spasm type because it comes and goes, at the moment it's there for about 10 seconds then goes away for about 10 seconds, it does vary, I didn't get it at all for about 6 months, then it came back when we stopped playing because of the lock down 😠
  18. I'm the same, started off thinking of digitising my LP's but soon realised it was a very time consuming task, recording in real time then manually naming all the tracks, the vast majority of my LP's are on spotify, with my knackered hearing that's good enough for me.
  19. I remember the story about putting your CD's in the freezer to improve the sound, I was silly enough to try it, basically if people are looking for an improvement in the sound they'll hear one.
  20. Nottingham 😁 but I must admit I don't venture into the city centre very often, I perhaps could see the logic in shutting down City Centre pubs, but not the local boozers in the suburbs
  21. not sure I see the connection between education and pubs
  22. I know it's the mailonline https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8784629/Boris-Johnson-faces-furious-Tory-mutiny-sneaking-Orwellian-Covid-lockdown-laws.html you have to scroll down to find the pie charts
  23. well they're not following the rules, that aside only 3-4% of infections are happening in pubs and restaurants, which makes Bojo's obsession with clamping down on them just look vindictive, I'm still trying to figure out what good the 10pm closing rule does
  24. cheers, how do you know that?
  25. we had a multi band indoor gig last night, full PA, not sure how they got away with it, the Police turned up half way through, saw everybody sat at tables of 6, waitress service, mask worn when away from the tables and let it carry on, must admit I enjoyed myself but can see what the problem is, loud music means people shouting at each other at very close distance
