2. is this the group that ex- Japan Keyboard player Richard Barbieri is a member of per chance?
 3. Sunday Morning Bump
 4. Fender Jazz or P or possibly something I haven't yet thought of ;-)
What sort of stuff are you considering?
5. Bump, might consider a trade...
 6. Good points by all, but having always played the lower end of the spectrum and recently forked out for higher end instruments it was obvious as soon as I plugged it in why expensive is better. Better finish, better materials, better electrics superior sound and tone. Horses for courses I guess...
 7. This seem strange as I contacted Lakland recently about purchasing a finish other than the Blue and they responded with other new finishes will be available soon?
 8. Lovely Pete, have a bump from me...
 9. Folks, Just a wee heads up that the ex Japan Fretless wonder is realising his autobiography in November, should be a good read for us Bass players as Mick is a stunningly unique bassist. I may have to dig out some old Japan albums to hear that lovely Wal Fretless and of course his old Travis Bean. Steve.
 10. Just bought a lovely Overwater from Chris and what a top bloke to deal with! Would def do again!! Cheers, Steve.
 11. Awesome Bass! Nice Noodling, I even like the 'It ain't half hot mum obligatory shorts!' What happened to the summer by the way!!??
 12. I am also home alone waiting for My new Overwater !!!!! Bet he turns up at 5:30pm!!!!!!!!!
 13. Hello There, Personally I don't think you can wrong with one of the Squire packages for a beginner. I got my son a Squier P and he loves it. Cheers, Steve.
Hi Guys i recently introduced myself on the Intro page. 14. Good stuff, perhaps we should start a good guy's on E-bay forum! Usually when its too good to be true it is but glad this was a good un for you.
Well, the friendly Parcel force man cane in today with a box. Inside, a great Warwick Corvette in ioled red. 2 little dings which I can remove, and as a plus, it is active!!! Bonus. Great guy, friendly and quick to send out.
15. Would have been good to go there just to see WHO was buying the stuff! I wonder why his family flogged off all his stuff, did the Ox not have a son - He could have adopted me!
 16. Chaps, Just thought I would give praise to my most recent experience with a Bass store. I had been trawling for day's for a Lakland 44-01 in Natural finish to no avail all the shops had a nice longish waiting time, the cheapest I could find was £679 until I stumbled on MB Music who had what I wanted in stock it was £599 and I had the bass on my door step in 24 hours! Shops usually give you so much heartache that it was refreshing to see a seller be as good as his word! Well Done Martin at MB I will certainly go there again! Steve. Ps. The bass I bought is no longer showing as being in stock on their website - so they also update their records toot sweet too!
 17. This is the fourth one for sale on here in a fortnight! Is there something we should know!? ;-) Funny you should mention the colour as I have contacted Laklands to ask why the natural finish and black are not more readily available over here, they intend to release other colours in the near future seems strange they haven't thought about this before, the Duck Dunn for example is available in 9 colours!? Good luck with the sale, after one myself but too soon after buying Giblett123s Overwater - her indoors would cut them off!
 18. If you type in Southebys John Entwhistle its the fourth return down. Its the actual Southebys website. I am not sure how to post a link on here but I am sure if you perceiver you'll find it! I have also mailed Lakland and it is indeed one of theirs made especially for John. I have a feeling that Southebys missed of the first 2 letters of the serial. So anyone got £2k to spare...? Dave, check out the trumpets and the suprising amount of guitars as opposed to Bass, the total lot came to over a million.
I did and couldn't find it.
19. Not sure about all the pictures of fish though! He was an odd guy but a damn fine Bass player!
Ooooh ... I like Lot 132, the Modulus Graphite 'Precision'
20. Google: sotheby's john entwistle
Have you got a link for that?
21. Young 'trendy' things trying to tell us old boys all about this new thing they have invented called Punk!!!!!! Arrghhh TABS - Just learn to read goddamit!!!!!!
 22. Having checked the Southebys website I found the bass in question, in fact you can see all of the equipment John sold! Christ he had some gear!!: LOT 119 cW - A Lakland semi-acoustic bass guitar 1,000—1,500 GBP Lot Sold. Hammer Price with Buyer's Premium: 1,440 GBP measurements N/A Description serial 002 impressed to top edge of headstock, natural waxed finish with single f-hole, twin Bartolini pickups, in gig bag
That's a good price for a US Lakland #002. Trouble is the Lakland website gives the US hollow body serials as HB01 up to HB96.
23. This bass still available?
Oh dear. How would you post this? I'd need to shift one of mine to accommodate it, not necessarily beforehand, but it is everything I have been gassing for.... black/black/maple pbass with jazz neck.... Edit - PM sent...
24.
Following a recent purchase I need to do some recouping of funds to keep her indoors happy. I have a 1980/81 top of the range Aria SB1000, I'll stick some pics up later but its in very good condition for an instrument of some years only a couple of superfical marks all original parts including the original Aria case (which is ok but could do with some attention to the latches. I will be sad to see this go having been a bit of a John Taylor nut in my teens (I was young!) but my pending purchases require I give serious thought to a clear out! I'll take some good quality pics and highlight the surface marks etc. It has the older bat wing head which in my opinion is much better than the latter version, I'll take it for a set-up before sale but it sounds as good today as it did in 1982 when I was playing Rio on it and the like! (I did say I was young!!) I did buy another one a few years back so I won't be totally without... Offers? Ps. Please ignore the 80's vinyl colletion in the background! I'd like to say that they are the wife's but......
