2. If I were to be sensible I'd keep the money in my bank account ;-)
Be sensible and don't buy one until you try one.
3. My current crop: Lakland 44-01 Aria SB1000 Overwater Perception Deluxe 4
4. Hi, To be honest, I think potential bidders might be put off with the Bass coming all the way from Slovenia. This would no doubt be a real headache with customs charges etc. Have you thought about using an on-line auction sites? Good luck with sale, Cheers, Steve.
5. I'm in the market for a Sadowsky and watching this one ;-)
6. I actually loved the stuff he did with Paul Young; I think his use of a Musiman Fretless sold the idea of a fretless being cool to then young bass players much like Mick Karn did around the same time. I know when my son first showed an interest I played him the first Paul Young Album and he was very impressed - much liek his old man ;-)
7. Guy's n Girls, Looking at possibly splashing out for a Sadowsky Metro Bass, anyone any experience of them? or possibly own one? There's a nice long waiting list so I may dip into the good second hand market - anyone want to talk me into or out of buying one? Cheers, Steve.
8. Was thinking of investing in a cheaper bass following recent expensive acquisitions, I like the look of the CV's and from reading your reviews guy's I think I'll go try one out forthwith! Snobbery ain't gonna stop me! ;-)
9. Ok, clock starting for E-bay.... tick tock.... 5day's and counting!
10. Might have to call you myself regarding my Perception, as although I don't a key at them moment bet will at some point!
11. No one looking for that 80's tone.........? If I mention users of the SB1000 I don't think that would help my sales pitch! Duran Duran, Haircut 100, Aztec Camera, Fiat Lux..... ok ok that's not going to work ;-)
12. Great gear, when did you win the lottery!? ;-)
13. More pictures added... Greedy 2 bumps in a day!!
14. is this the group that ex- Japan Keyboard player Richard Barbieri is a member of per chance?
15. Fender Jazz or P or possibly something I haven't yet thought of ;-)
What sort of stuff are you considering?
16. Good points by all, but having always played the lower end of the spectrum and recently forked out for higher end instruments it was obvious as soon as I plugged it in why expensive is better. Better finish, better materials, better electrics superior sound and tone. Horses for courses I guess...
17. This seem strange as I contacted Lakland recently about purchasing a finish other than the Blue and they responded with other new finishes will be available soon?
18. Folks, Just a wee heads up that the ex Japan Fretless wonder is realising his autobiography in November, should be a good read for us Bass players as Mick is a stunningly unique bassist. I may have to dig out some old Japan albums to hear that lovely Wal Fretless and of course his old Travis Bean. Steve.
19. Just bought a lovely Overwater from Chris and what a top bloke to deal with! Would def do again!! Cheers, Steve.
20. Awesome Bass! Nice Noodling, I even like the 'It ain't half hot mum obligatory shorts!' What happened to the summer by the way!!??
