1.
My video of the review of the MB800 came out today in iGuitar. The magazine is free to read: http://licklibrary.c...ssue10/page/186 That's a really great amp!
Good review. Impressive little amp. Great magazine as well.
 2. That's a LOT of bass for a little money.
 3.
Tea for two @ the Savoy. Garry
Hehe.
 4.
Me to.. Danny Elfman & Homer like the Tritone Paradox. Garry
So what have we won?
 5. 12&4 going down, 3 going up.
 6. CARDIACS.
 7. Did it have a Korg Chaos pad in it, a la Muse?

 9.
Cheeky to ask for pics of it now and through the process?
Yeah, ok.
 10. Rob, impeccable taste, as always. Spike, can I have first dibs if this ever....worth a try.
 11.
Ooh, I was after that one on ebay. Potentially a bastard to renovate so decided to make a low bid. But yeah, blazers are amazing. I honestly think I'd be happy enough to never buy another bass again! Truckstop
Hi Truckstop, I picked it up from the post office this afternoon. It is a little battered but everything works. Electrics, truss rod, neck is perfect, just needs a really good bit of TLC. I love the colour, not many of these around.
 12. I'm in the process of renovating a right handed Ibanez Blazer bass, 1982, in Sonic Blue. She needs a little TLC (new strings, deep clean, set up, fret polish, electronics checking) but structurally this is a very, very sound bass. I owned one in the early 80's, in natural finish, left handed as my first bass and after messing aound on this right handed version, I totally regret getting rid of mine. Better sounding and playing than a lot of Fender basses that I have repaired or played over the years. On the look out for a lefty, now.
 13.
Lord Leverhulme, IIRC, bitching about how much his ad budget cost. Chap that owned Lever Bros Lux, Lifebuoy soap etc. Marketing? Thing is, you're a manufacturer and you're sat there with - say - a jackplug and you think "Well, what can I say about this, it's only a f**king plug". Well, what do you do? You hire some little advertising squit in a trendy t-shirt and he goes away and he comes back with some boards and whips the cover off and it's a picture of the jackplug and a slogan that says: "It's only a f**king jackplug. But it'll get you laid." Huzzah! Trebles all round!
Lordy, from my neck of the woods. My best friends brother-in-law was the late Lord Leverhulme's body guard/ driver.
 14. Warwicks marketing is world class. On a par with BMW. And their endorsee list is the envy of most bass manufacturers. All they need is Vic Wooten, (they have Reggie) and that would be that. I reckon it's only a matter of time.

 17.
All very lovely and watching the Ziggy concert movie got me to thinking. * Blowing bad harp while sporting a giant kimono never goes out of fashion * How far ahead of his time Bowie's stage image and moves were. And such was his 'camp' that he made dear old Freddie look like Dave Courtney * Dreadful concert sound compared to the BBC gig. And maybe I won't be buying a Gibson EB, after all. * Ziggy audience in transports of ecstasy. Waves of engagement to and from the stage. When and why did 'Rock' lose the capacity to generate such intensity?
That last line has made me feel so very sad. Maybe it's because that these days the audience is more self obsessed than the pefrormers are and too busy watching the gig on the screens of their smart phones, as oppossed to engaging in the audience/performer/energy/feedback loop. Or maybe it's because those days are long gone, nothing is original and everything has to be a "brand", so as to be targeted for ease of consumption.
 18. How do you turn down a vacuum cleaner?
 19.
Part of the story, the most exciting part: Marshall JCM 800 bass series head from 1980 or 1981 and an Ampeg V-2 4x12. I believe the cab is early 70s. It weighs so much. It takes 3 full grown men to get it up or down the stairs to our practice room.
That is the coolest rig ever posted on here, seriously.
 20. What are you right handed people doing? Incredible price, for an incredible bass.
 21.
Massive prick?
Musicians are nuts, big headed, ball bags and at times very forgiving and at times total *****. Most of them, you wouldn't want to be mates with.
 22. Rush were and are beautiful. Put your dukes up if you disagree.

 24.
A lot depends where you live, how much you are prepared to pay and what level you are at. The better you are the harder it is to find a decent teacher who is a bass player in your locality.
Totally spot on.
 25. Did you spray the nitro from a can or a gun?
