2. Now, that's a bass guitar.
3. Hi Dusty, you have a fantastic collection. How long has Chris Squire been using Lakland's and which ones? I'm a lefty player and have found it hard to get good basses over the years. I've had, Jaydee, Gibson T'bird( righty turned upside down), Precision's, Jazz basses and a couple of custom built, ACG and KGB. I've always wanted a Ric and I had an opportunity to play one last year, bearing in mind my favourite bass players have used them, Geddy, Chris, Macca, Lemmy. I was hoping for some kind of magical union. No, I couldn't stand the feel of it, its neck and general playability were not for me, so I was very disappointed. I'd like to try a Lakland but I think finding a lefty would be a struggle. How do the American ones compare to the Far eastern models? Cheers Steve.
4. Nice one and I can highly recommend the EMG JV's. I've put a set in my Jap Jazz and it was transformed. How are you having the tone control set? I replaced the supplied cap with a big orange Sprague, as the EMG one made absolutely no difference in tone. Mmmmm, gassin' for a black bass now.

6. How come Lakkies and not those crazy French basses, with the Purple connection? What does Glenn Hughes play now? Great wall of stuff.
7. Er, £105 ? Why are you selling? Steve.

TerryK

Some feedback for this great bloke. I bought a Bergantino IP310 from Terry and he delivered it, to my house, before the money had cleared in his account!!! Terry is the most decerning owner of gear I have met and his new rig will give you goose pimples. I would buy from Terry without hesitation, as he is a great person to do business with. Thanks for a great experience. Cheers Steve.
10. Hi to all. Been watching Eurovision and want to kill something. Instead, I'll post some pics of my new rig. Ampeg SVP Pro with Bergantino IP310. Warning! the AccuGrooves now belong to someone else but I thought I'd post the pics anyway. Big thanks to Mark and Terry. Cheers Steve.
11.
Jesus man, these posts irk me far more than people diving in to the classifieds- the for sale section attracts new members probably more than any other, posts like yours are more likely to drive people away. ----- Sorry for this post Roger, I'm looking forward to pics of your bass, I may have something to offer in a trade in the next week or so Russ
That's our Kevin, the un-official Basschat caretaker.
12.
Hiya, Does anyone know any good wiring diagram resources on the net? I'm putting concentric pots on me p/j - I'm going con pot / con pot / master vol ?? John
Hi John, try Fender.com-support-wiring diagrams-62 Vintage Jazz and then just wire the outputs to the master vol before the jack socket. Don't look at the diagram for the Deluxe Jazz Steve.
13. Put the smallest router bit on your Dremel, and run it around the screw, then use needle nosed pliers to grab the exposed stump and carefully turn. Adding some heat with a solder gun can expand the stump , so, creating a tiny bit of space around said stump, making it easier to rotate.
14. Absolutely superb. I love everything about it, the paint job, choice of bits and I bet it sounds good too. I really like the guits as well!
15. Thank you, kind Sir.
16. If I ever ended up looking like that, my wife would kill me in my sleep. Her first response, when she saw the pic was, "who the f***'s that?"
17.
Me and NWR backstage at last years Guitar Show NWR and the TE rig he was lent on the day.....nice!
What a total dude. Check the D.M.'s That's a dude, a suave, M.F.
18. Amen to that. He was responsible for me playing bass. I went to "Honest Geoff's" in Birkenhead Market and bought, "My Way, 'Pistols and Hit Me With Your'" in 1978, a twelve year old, with a twat of a hair cut, with me "spends". Norman Watt Roy, MBE.

20. Can we have a 3x10 option?
21.
Having a tidy up of my pictures tonight and took a picture of Norm's rig when I had the privillege of supporting the blockheads last November. I did post at the time but I'm sure I didn't include a picture of his rig at the time. As far as I remember there was just a lead from amp to guitar. and guess what ... he sounded incredible.
Hi Mr Fudge, can you see fit for me to use your photo of NWR as my avatar? If not, I will remove it. Cheers Steve.
22.
It's always the same with us 'Runaway Jocks', too far from any b*gger! Enjoy the Berg Steve.
Hi John, I really wanted your cab. Steve.
23.
Nice Met terry k he bought my qtron , nice bloke, know what you mean about johns tech cab bit of a trek to toon if your both not happy, heard tons of great stuff about the bergs though will hopefully try at some point. enjoy the tone mate- all the best -lee Hi Lee, I sold the cabs to the first person who got in touch and kept in contact. There were 8 people interested! I wasn't sure if I should go for Warwickhunt's Tech cab but the distance and logistics involved, combined with the fact that we may not like each others gear made it a no go. I've gone for TerryK's Bergantino IP 310. I went to try it last week and it's very nice. Cheers Steve.
Hi Lee, your more than welcome to come and try. steve.
