Brilliant, brilliant review. I want those pedals, that last piece was great and overall the pedals still make the bass sound great. A good sounding bass when used without the fx anyway. Thanks for that. Steve.
it's not Duo, thats the 2x10. it's the Double you have. i wont tell you again! and yes, the Glock stuff is fan-bloomin-tastic. would love to try some of the heads, but would never be able to live with the size!
Nobody likes a smart ass.

I love red basses and this one is a real beauty.

I clicked on the 6th and 7th pics first and nearly fainted thinking that Gibson had made a lefty Tbird at last. Lovely bass, I love the shape, probably my fav.

Me like. Me like. The Glock Duo 2x12 cab I have is the best sounding cab I've had, (Accugroove, Bergantino, Hartke, Peavey, Ashdown, Ampeg, HH, Marshall). If this amp is anything like my cab, then you'll be sorted.
Just look at the lines on this. The bass isn't bad either.
She only looks about 13, where's d'curves?

Hi Damon has the brass in question got a coat of lacquer on it? What parts are they?
-
No, I mean objective, because an opinion is a state of the individuals fact based system, ie, that they know who they think is the best. You can not have a truly fact based opinion of what is better in musical terms, it is far too abstract.
-
Hi Jake, I agree that he is a jazz giant, playing with Miles, Shorter and Blade but you can't say that he is the best, because it is so objective. Being the best in other peoples eyes (ears), is about how that musician makes them feel. He does make me feel spaced out though. Yum.

Hi B2, nice to hear from you, have a good time on here and ignore the trolls, or maybe have a bit of sport with them sometimes. Speak soon Steve. PS, show us your B2.

My class at school went to London to visit the Science Museum, about 1979. We went to see an exhibition by IBM about this thing called a "Micro Chip" (I still have the credit card size piece of plastic that held a micro chip with an IBM logo underneath, that was given out as a promo). Annnnnywaaay, we were allowed out to sight-see around Bond Street, as we were making our way to Harrods, a white Ford Escort was speeding up a side street towards us at the pavement on the main road, the car stopped and just touched a few of us. We all started to kick off untill we saw that it was Phil Lynott driving, at which point we all started to shout hi Phill, we love you and such like. My first time in London and nearly killed by Phil Lynott.

Mark King was an influence on me, not so much my playing these days. He, along with JJ Burnel, Macca, Mike Ruderford, Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Lemmy, made it a no brainer to me to pick up a bass. Mark King was the first bass player to make me think "What the f*** is going on here?" Massive polyrhythms, aggression, crazy note choices and all while he sang lead vocal. I had no musical tutorage as a child, so to a 16 year old who had never heared anything outside of punk, prog, new wave, disco, ska, this blew me away. Mark King is one of the best bassists Britain has ever had.

Can I have your opinions on the Fender 'Sting' precision please.
steve-soar replied to 6stringbassist's topic in Bass Guitars
Hi Kev the flats you sold me are now on my Squier P bass, it has EMG P&J pups with an EMG BTC. It is the bass I pick up more than any other. -
Got up at about 10 this morning, had a drink of lemonade, tounge like the inside of a Dutch lorry drivers glove, watched a bit of Elton from last night, had a scavenge around some left overs from the buffet that the Wife made last night for friends then went back to bed until 3. Typing with 2 fingers because still slightly pished. Will have breakfast proper now....fish finger butties, I haven't got any, so it will have to be fried egg on toast with red sauce and another cuppa. Will I have a beer later?
Well that was a totally unremarkable meal, left overs from last night....reheated new potatoes, salad, ham, cheese. Went back to bed again and got up at 8.00, wife watching Beastbenders, so I went the offie. So much for not drinking too much in 2009.

.....Just a minute, what was that Bigbeefchief, you wanted to hire a helicopter so you could drop a bomb on the studio? No, don't go....the voice is fading.... Wow the strangest thing just happened to me then.

I want a 400 PS amp. JJ Burnel had one and Billy Cox but I bet they are about as reliable as Birkenhead chav dad.
