1. I think I did say "FENDER".
2. You guys, stop bustin' ma balls.
3. They would have to do the Green Burst or, the Black/Maple but I would prefer the Green Burst.
4. It is about time that JJ was recognised for his major talent. I want to start a petition on Basschat and other sites and would encourage other to do the same, so we can create a digital list of bassists, other muso's and fans who would like a sig bass. Only one stipulation, they would have to offer it in a left handed version. 1. Steve Soar.
5. Playing with Earth Wind and Fire.

7.
Haha, Bilbo! No, I don't want one. Was just curious as to what it was, that's all.
I don't think you will get on with the string spacing, I think it is 16.5 mm.
8. I'm looking at the review of the Brazilian D'Alegria Dart Deluxe 5 string. (Issue 37) It got a score of 2 out of 5 for value for money, that is average. It costs £2981, it looks like it was made from a panel of an MFI wardrobe, the pickup cavities are embarrassingly too big for the size of the pickups, it has problems with the finish, there was a problem with the pick up pan control, the controls felt insubstantial and there was little tonal variation, according to the reviewer, Stuart Clayton. There was a high degree of neck dive, the nut was cut badly, which on a 3K bass is totally unexceptable. But Stuart awarded this £3000 bass, with all of these faults a 3 out of 5 for build quality, which equals a good score. I would have awarded the following, cosidering the pric, 1 star for build quality, 2 for sound quality, as Stuart says it could give a good slap, finger, pick sound and 1 star for value for money. 1 star = poor, 2 stars = average. Now, 2 pages before, there is a beautiful F Bass which is over £300 less, is a six string and is a thing of beauty. I have a subscription the BGM and on the whole I like it. The reviews are well layed out with good quality, large photos of the products. The interviews are a little tame and short and the amount of advertising is pretty reasonable compared to some publications. I find with BGM that some editions are pretty good and then the next edition will go off the boil a little. I would like to see reviews of the newer, Britsh bass builders, such as Shuker, ACG, Jim Fleeting. I also think that a CD may be a good idea, with review samples, lessons and such, it may hike the price up but it is a bi-monthly publication, so I think it would make a less noticable difference to your pocket.
9. Hi Kev, all you need is a nicely battered, old German upright and you are sorted. What Epi cabs do you have ATM?
10. I think it is a beautiful and unique bass, except for one thing, the "Ball Family Reserve" inlay.
11. We are only 80 odd years into being abe to listen to recorded music, in one way or another. In that time, we have witnessed the Big Bang of Popular Music, in the Millenia to come, Paul Simon will be there, along side......... (add your favourite artist). BTW, Paul Simon is not my favourite song writer.
12. Hi Kev, give Alan at ACG a call, better over the phone than emails.
13. The 'Ray is lovely, I bet you couldn't believe it, leaving the Zoot for this. Did you have to put money toward the deal?
14. Phwoor!
15. They do sound nice.
16. That's a great photo of James.
17. It seems that for once, someone has actually listened to gigging bassists. The features that this thing has are really savvy. I would like to hear one through the TC cabs. This amp could be a world class piece of gear.
18. You have just made going to work that little more bearable.
19. I like it.
20. I bought a 70's 8x10 back in 1986 for £150, I had only been playing a year and knew it was a bargain, even back then. I went to pick it up, having never seen or lifted one before, I nearly sh*t myself. I used it for about a year but kept it in a lock up at rehearsals but then bought a Peavey Combo 300 as it was so easy to cart around. I sold it to Hesseys in Liverpool and forgot about it. In 1992 our band got a deal and I immediately bought an SVT II, I then looked for a cab to match it and asked the guys who ran our rehearsal rooms (Crash) if they knew of any, they told me that they had an old SVT cab that they hire out that I could have and guess what, it was my old one. If I had help to move an SVT rig around I wolud have one again, because they look so cool but I now use a Tech Soundsystems 6x10, which weighs 99 lbs less and sounds (to my ears) 99 times better.
21. So, I ended up getting one (thanks Marc) and all I can say is that it is a dirty bastard, a filthy, dirty, disgusting bastard of a pedal. The Sensitivity knob is amazing and the ass and harm switches give such room for mischief. I can honestly say that this is a bassists dream, if they are looking for fuzz sounds. Built like a brick and absolutely silent when you're not playing. In a word, magic.
22. Bought a Malekko B assmaster from Marc, good price, good comms, posted it sraifgt away, arrived a day later. Wish I would have bought the rest of the pedals. Top guy.
23. I had one for years, what a sound from a single 15", not that heavy.
24. Kim Deal.
