You should also check out anything made by Radial - all their kit is excellent 'pro' standard. Many people swear by the Radial JDI for bass - this is a VERY good passive DI (but has no headphone output).
Dave, I may well be selling a Radial JDI soon - only used once in the studio to A/B it against the J48 to find which one suited my basses better...
Would an SKB case (for example) have more holes in it and accomodate the new head?
SKB and Gator cases do have an extra hole in between the ones on your rack. Bought some pickups off him late Sunday night, he put them in the post the very next morning. Top stuff.

Anyone driving up from West London?
when I wrote to Stick Enterprise to enquire, they told me it was a 1979 Ironwood model, serial #565. Ironwood sounds right, but I'm not sure about the date, since it has some features that only arrived by the early 90s: Fret Rods, fully-adjustable bridge, "Just-A-Nut" that allows switching to 7+5 mode. It may have been upgraded at some point. I can't see any signs of work, though which must mean that if it was upgraded, it was done properly by Stick Enterprises.
Definitely not an upgrade as the headstock is curved - earlier ones were more angular. When the new features you mention were introduced (in October 1989) they started the serial numbers from 001 again - mine is #614 so I would say yours dates from the early 90's. Good luck with the sale - I second Dills' suggestion to post it on www.stickist.com too and add that I'd be very keen myself were it not the same specs as my current Stick - sounds like someone will grab an absolute bargain as you could ask almost twice your staring price.

Does anyone in or around London have a Thunderfunk that they could let me hear? These amps have made it on to my shortlist without me ever trying one out... Very tempted by the new 750A, from what I've read it could replace my CA9... Thanks, Steve
oh oops I didn't know thats what the 35 stood for, sorry. Actually, I'm a bit confused, there is a GWB1005 and a GWB35, both 34", one a lot more expensive than the other.
I'll jump in before Luke does - it's the GWB35. All the Willis basses are 34" scale length.

To Epifani UL310 users, past and present
Steve Woodcock replied to chardbass's topic in Amps and Cabs
At the moment I use a Crest CA9 to power mine which puts out 900 watts a side in to 4 ohms (2k bridged) so I'm never short of headroom, however I'm looking at going for something lighter...
