They come up on ebay over here occasionally but be prepared to pay a lot - because of the waiting list for new Sticks used ones are holding their value (much more now it seems than in previous years). Don't know what happened to him after that... He was supposed to be back in the reformed Suffocation (which Chris Richards - his former replacement - wasn't too happy about at the time) but I believe he had some 'problems' and they got Derek Boyer instead.

Got a problem with the battery compartment on both my Gary Willis basses - if I use them in active mode I get audible 'thumps' due to the battery moving when any pressure is applied to the battery compartment door (i.e. by my body). Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions for a solution?

I need to alter the pole pieces firstly for consistent string to string volume as you'd rightly guessed, and secondly because I sometimes catch my fingertip on the edge of the furthest G-string pole piece...

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the height of the pole pieces on 'USA Vintage J-Bass' pickups (as found on a CIJ '62 reissue Fender Jazz bass)?
