  1. Just reviving this one as I tried it today, I fitted a new set of labella Low tension flats to one of my jazzes and played it for a while, then I took them off to clean the fretboard and adjust the truss rod, I wiped the strings with Vaseline and cleaned them with a clean cloth and refitted, you can’t feel the Vaseline at all and the difference in tone is considerably noticeable, a much warmer sound but not too dull, it’s what I was looking for so really pleased
  2. I like that one too, Thanks very much for that information eloisa , much appreciated
  3. Welcome Marco
  4. Came across this by chance and I like the groove, it’s by Dope Lemon , who I’ve never heard of before
  5. Pretty sure we’ve had this before but I really enjoyed hearing it today on one of the reggae stations I listen to , quite a classic
  6. Do you think they do this deliberately to make people contact them, I’ve asked many times for more info and pictures of neck stamps, pickup dates etc and they’ve sent them back almost immediately, so they already have the details but just don’t put it on their website
  7. Haven’t seen it yet gasman, I’ve only seen the trailers but I’ll be checking it out as soon as I get a chance, good to hear you saying it’s worth it
  8. Listening to some Junior Byles today, probably better known for his tune Not fade away , which is a classic, nice bassline on this
  9. This is one I’m learning at the moment, it’s Robbie Shakespeare and quite challenging for me, nothing really consistent, I’m ok up to about 1.38 so far then I’ve got to start breaking it down slowly
  10. Lovely nilo, congratulations
  11. I bought a precision a while back which came with the labella jamerson flats 52-110 fitted, they are way too heavy for me so I put my usual LTF’s on 42-100 , no problems whatsoever, I’d say you’ll be fine
  12. Bob Marley Uprising on now on sky arts and after, Up close and personal interviews and footage, if anyone is interested
  13. My son used to listen to slipknot, a few tracks are not bad, bit heavy for me though 😁
  14. Never heard of Spiceknot, I’m guessing something like slipknot
  15. Welcome Bramh
  16. If you want to listen to some of family man’s basslines this is so good, Baby we’ve got a date is a great one to play
  17. There is a BC app, this might help Paolo
  18. Loving that, super cool
  19. Top job there swills, it looks really cool, imo I can’t really see what more you would gain by buying a fender precision (and I’m a fender fanboy), you got nice pickups and loom and it plays good, the only difference would be the name on the headstock
  20. I’ve still got the one I got from you Tim and play it all the time , it’s not going anywhere 👍
  21. I’m sure some of you have already seen this, but if your interested in sly and Robbie this is probably one of the best interviews out there, lots of really good information
  22. That’s a beauty mr d 😍
  23. Great selection there SumOne, I’m also big Johnny Osborne fan , especially when backed by the Roots Radics, Flabba lays down some of those basslines like no one else
