All my P basses have got very worn in flats and I’d say none sound woolly, mellow yes, personally I wouldn’t go altering your bass, do you think it could have been because you didn’t have enough time to familiarise yourself with the new setup and experiment a bit

Very nice chadu ,congrats , imo you won’t go wrong with that, and the La Bella 760FL are a perfect choice, they just get better the more you play them

That’s a great one, probably one of my favourite funky basslines along with forget me nots, I’ve played that and it took me a while to learn it as I’m not a very fast player , I used this by our Huw a long time back

Might be worth having a flick through this if you haven’t already, there is some good suggestions there you may be able to use

I also thought the first tort guards had 11 screws and not 13 , but could be wrong

Very Nice, I’ve never played one of those before, I quite like the body shape and they look comfortable to play

Been looking into Trevor castell also known as Trevor Junior, there’s some nice bass on his tracks which I’ve narrowed down to 3 players , Chris Meredith, Robbie Shakespeare and George Fully Fullwood, one of those artists that’s been around a long time but not overly well known, here’s a few nice version on this from around 1984 and from the rub a dub album

Great isn’t he, I’ve watched many of his videos, nice guy too, he hasn’t visited here for quite a while

Not sure if I’ve mentioned him before but I like some of Janek Gwizdala‘s videos, he’s great for theory and has some good grooves too

I saw that on reggaeville, I remember them being around , mainly as a backing band but they didn’t do much for a few years, I really like some of their stuff and I’ll definitely be interested in the story

Think that’s what happened to my son, when it finally got to him they wanted £750, he said he doesn’t like them that much
