  1. Just had a look and I think you’re right, Phil King
  2. Apparently Felt were an English jangle pop band, formed in 1979, don’t know what jangle is though
  3. I’ve seen Shed and Buried, not sure if that counts 🤔
  4. Here’s the video, you might be able to see if it’s a clear pickguard, I think it might be coloured to match the body but not sure
  5. Ah yeah, I see what you’re saying, didn’t think of that
  6. @Bass Novice I got a shot of a nice jazz bass from a video I was watching, the pickguard matches the body, I wouldn’t mind this
  7. I’d say most people probably wouldn’t know any
  8. Yeah I thought that too , slightly different font but the same date stamp
  9. Didn’t the other one have a rosewood board
  10. Welcome Graffspree
  11. Why do I always have to look when I see ‘nothing to see here’ 😁
  12. On some Mikey Dread today , I like the driving Bassline on this, it’s a good one to play , and the jingle at the beginning I’m sure used to be on the Rodigan show or maybe from Tony Williams Reggae Rockers
  13. Hi Bef, although I’m pretty much a fender jazz and precision guy I can recommend having a look through the Yamaha range, I’ve got a 5 string and a 4 , the build quality is very good and range of tones you can get I’d say would cover anything you wanted to play , reasonably priced too
  14. Don’t really know many by status quo or guns n roses except what was in the charts, but anything by Springsteen especially Born in the USA has to go off
  15. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it ,but if anything by Robbie Williams, will young or James Arthur comes on I have to switch channel, and a rather irritating song came on the radio today that I wouldn’t want to hear again called ,You Can Call Me Al 😬
  16. Well that was like one of the best slide shows I’ve seen, amazing amount of lovely basses, I’ve probably had around 50 jazzes and precision’s but not the amount of variety you’ve had, lovely
  17. Don’t really know much about recording consoles but this looks really cool, according to the info it’s been used on so many famous reggae tracks and albums and came from Harry J's in Jamaica , check out the list , quite a part of history https://search.app/NiVfRUKLSc5D8BGg6
  18. I saw that one, very nice and I’d say probably one of the best he’s had , it’s in great condition, I’m seriously attracted to this and might have to have a chat with Andy https://www.andybaxterbass.com/products/1968-fender-precision-bass-sunburst-2
  19. I’m similar with early jazzes and precision’s, I’ve studied them in great detail to quite a nerdy boring degree 😁, I find them fascinating, and the strange thing is that whenever I’m buying one I always ask a few people to take a look and give me their opinions and they always notice something that that I’ve missed , talkbass can be a good source of information too but I don’t visit there much these days
  20. If you remember Creation Rebel you will love this with Adrian Sherwood, unfortunately I wasn’t there, I would have liked to even just to see Kenton Brown play, heavy bass, @Frank Blank I think you might like some of this
  21. I think it could be Guy, new kings road vintage had an ex pino 61 stack knob jazz for sale in 2016 for nearly 16k , can’t find any old pics but I’d guess it was the same one
  22. Hi tt, from what I can gather it’s from the Slaving Riddim , maybe originally to do with Glen brown-No More Slavery about 1973 ish , Big youth also had this out around the same time, I’ll dig a bit more tonight 👍 and I Roy track is pretty close too
  23. A nice one here from Clinton Fearon and the riddim source, sweet Bassline from Thomas Cirade
  24. Looks so good, really great work Rayman
