1. Beautiful bass Russ! I can see why you are interested in cameras... Hope all's well with you and good luck with the sale. Nik
2.
I approve and lol at this thread
+2
3. SORTED!
4. I don't know what you mean, Sir? Actually, it's my ex- wife who's the manager.. What a strange world it can be sometimes..
5. Hi Folks A friend of mine has asked me to post an advert here for a bass player to joing a young band she's managing.. The band is called: The Indicators Here's what she asked me to post for her: "BASS PLAYER needed very urgent for a gig this Friday in Worthing for The Indicators, here's a note from there manager the band seem to be missing a bass player, he's not dead or anything, however, somebody needs to play the four lovely strings...is anyone up for strumming a few chords in worthing on a Friday night...x ? If so please get in touch...It's only three chords but apparently they know five...and for some reason I have them on Radio One and Steve Lamacq loves them...but they lose more bass players than Spinal Tap do drummers...this is all in humour...sort of ... Kate the manager...x Sigh...x" The band has a small deal with an indie band, management and a named Producer on-board, plus support from Steve Lamaq at Radio 1, so they've got stuff going for them.. Though based in the Littlehampton area on the South Coast, the band does gig quite a lot in London and other places as I understand it, so if anyone here is interested, they need to be Ok with travelling.. If you're interested or know someone who might be, please PM me your details and I'll pass the info on to the Manager. Thanks for looking Nik
6. They help though...
7.
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery Merlin
+1
8. Luke Ward used to have one of these in blue IIRC, which i can remember playing for about half an hour at the 2007 South East Bass Bash.. Though I'd just bought a really nice Lakland DJ5 that day from P-T-P, I can remember thinking rather guiltily at the time, that I liked Luke's Streamer as much if not more.. Good luck with the sale!
9. That's a very cool looking bass - good luck with the sale!
10. Just to echo all of the above, Simon is a fantastic person to deal with and an example of everything that's great about this Forum.. Simon saw a post i made recently looking for a particular type of mic lead.. So (to cut a long story short), he sent me 3 mic leads free of charge in return for me making a donation to Basschat ! And, as if that wasn't enough already, he paid the postage on the parcel, even though I offered to pay it.. Simon I can't thank you enough and I will make that donation to BC later tonight.. Highly, highly recommended to one and all and I hope I can return the favour sometime.. Nik
11. This used to be mine and it's a really, really versatile bass...does just about anything tonally! It's very easy to play too and has a very clear, well-defined low B string for a 34" scale.. To be honest, i do miss it, though because of using my Roscoe Beck all the time I never used it enough to justify keeping it.. Sorry it didn't work out for you Mark, but good luck with the sale! Nik
12.
Nik I may have got the deatails for the cable wrong. According to their website, it`s a 1/4 to male like the photo below. Sorry for the confusion but I always thought the male went into the female so to speak. Also it appears it is actually a speaker cable but we used it to connect a di box to the xlr inputs on the desk. Jez
No worries Jez, thanks for letting me know. Good luck with the sale! Nik
13. Hi Jez If you can't sell the mic cables as package, I'd be interested in this one: "1 of 7.5m long, xlr female to 1/4 jack" Cheers Nik
14. This used to be my combo and before that, it belonged to Crez.. It's a fabulous sounding piece of kit from the miniute you power it up, and the e.q. on it is superb - so much versatility! More than anything though, it was the flexibility of using 2 different channels for different sounding basses that made it so useful for me when I was gigging a lot and using a combination of active and passive basses.. This is a very good price, even if you have spend a few quid to get the hum sorted out.. Oh, and Chris is a very good guy to deal with so you can deal with him in complete confidence!
15. That's a lovely looking bass! Good luck with finding the right trade...
16. Just bought some mic clips from Jim and the transaction went really well! Very happy to recommend him as everyone else here has. Many thanks Jim! Nik
17.
Nik, if you fancied my medium shallow bowl electro acoustic Legend 1867 (worth about £550 on current eBay prices, but as we're old mates I'm sure we could do something), I might take a punt on Noel's? Been a while after all Chris
Hi Chris That's an interesting idea and yes, it's been a while as you say! How's things with you these days? I will have a look at your Legend online and then send you a PM.. All the best Nik
18. Shame... Ah, well, good luck with the sale!
19. I use one of these with an SWR Triad and it sounds fantastic! Good luck with the sale...
20. Hi, is this an electro-acoustic ? Nik
21.
Beautiful mate
+1
22. Good band! Nice looking bass too...
