He's a friend of Stanley Cloak.
who is a second cousin, twice removed of 'Bootsie' Collins !! good luck with the sale, a few pics will work wonders me old fruit??
 5. Thanks for the 'bump' Bob, did I mention 'in passing' the war - oops sorry! I meant to say that this bass has the lowest, playable action I've ever seen on 'any' bass - Headed, headless, graphite or wooden?? sorry for mentioning - I mean 'starting' a war - 'I thought I got away with it' Let's face it - no 'one' type, or 'make' of bass is 'superior' over ALL others - (I think that's how 'the war' started)! - bugger - mentioned it again - sorry! At the end of the (very long) day it's all down to personal choice & preference - we'd all be in real trouble if there was only 'one' make or type of 'best bass' in the world - there wouldn't be enough to go around for all us greedy 'fat-wires' - (That was 'fat- wire' - NOT - 'fat - wa' - bugger - that was close)! thanks to everyone for their interest, hoping to hang on to this 'work of art' forever - if not a bit longer my main reason for liking (not 'prefering' - phew close again)! - headless basses is they 'seem' to stay in tune forever, which is a godsend to a 'cloth-eared old bint' like me! Hari Krishna, cheers, Tim
Tuesday bump for a cracking bass BB
6. weekend bumpity - bump! may be able to post out in padded plywood box?? - would charge actual DHL cost only??
Trace Elliot back on sale!!
7. Not played one of the 'new ones' - but just prefer a 'through the body neck' to actually 'go through' the body. To my 'very' old eyes, in the pictures of the 'new ones' - it seems as though it doesn't 'go all the way through' - if I'm wrong -please excuse my ignorance!
+1000
8. Trace Elliot back on sale!!
hi Bod, thanks for your interest, it's a cab & it's still available - good luck, cheers, Tim
9. The serial number is 487 & according to Dawn at Status Graphite, was made in either December 1989, or January 1990? thankyou for your interest & the 'bump' much appreciated - ta. cheers, Tim
Fantastic! Whats the serial number? I had one with a red pinstripe laminate which was I think #483. Bump!
10. Hi, I don't know what it's worth (help)? - I know it owes me an amount similar to the national debt of a small country - but what the heck & I 'really' hope someone doesn't offer enough to make me have to part with 'my best friend'! - but 'needs must' - bugger! thankyou to everyone for your interest ps - 'bugger'!!
how much you lookin' for?
11. Pics added - I'm afraid my poor photography doesn't do it justice
 12. Circa 1989 Status S2 with really low, playable action & lots of mojo! Ungigged since returning from having oodles of TLC applied by Rob himself at Status Graphite + frets dressed & a legendary 'Rob' set up (the best I've ever seen)! Albeit at a cost akin to the National Debt of a small country, but worth every penny - the Guys at Status really know what they are doing & I can recommend their service & skill without hesitation. Original 'properly' through the body graphite neck that is straight & true. Birds eye maple facings to the wings & walnut? on the back. Comes complete with the original Status Flightcase, which due to it's age - could do with the foam being replaced at some point. In unbelievable condition for a bass of this age & plays like the preverbial dream, having a superfast neck & fingerboard. If you put "Status Bass Guitar" in youtube - you can see it being demonstrated by the Guy, who the Guy I bought from, bought it from (what)?? & after a holiday at 'Rob's Place' - the few tiny 'dings' mentioned in the video - have been polished out by Status & you'd never know they were ever there! Won't be heatbroken if I have to keep this beauty, - I 'may' be interested in a trade, such as a smaller bodied(?) due to my 'glass' back! Kingbass - with black hardware, or a really nice old Jazz/Precision, or Sadowsky etc - W.H.Y??
 13. PM'd back ta
You have a PM. Thanks, Nathan
23. Hi, thanks for that - can't send pics 'til the New Year as the missus has gone on Holiday with 'the' camera, unless I can borrow a mates, so let me have your email address? It's a UK made (NOT made in China)! 150w Combo with sub harmonics, five band rotary equaliser, a 1 x 15" 'Blue Line" Speaker, is the loudest combo I've ever heard & is in virtually 'mint' condition. ps - if you, or your mate from Uni want to call to see it & have a go, let me know? cheers, Tim (dodgnofski) - 07980 495571 (email is [email protected])
replied re. PM's. The above offer is interesting. My mate who has the cabs goes to uni in stoke. got any info or pics of it. pics of the cabs will be up shortly.
24. Hi, I've an original UK made Ashdown 1 x 15 150w Bass Combo in very good condition, which I'd be happy to trade + some cash for just the head? I'm in 'sunny' Stoke on Trent (someone has to be)! but could meet you halfway-ish? my 'new' email address is [email protected] cheers, Dodgnofski
I am selling which i believe is the trace elliot 350 watt head, ah350smx. I don't actually have alot of info because it is actually at a mates house so i dont have access to it till he gets home in the next week. Ive hardly used it, main reason for selling, but i did buy it second hand off a guy who previously gigged it a fair few times. Its in fairly decent condition, a few knocks on the rock hard case, the UV light works and i do believe it was serviced shortly before i bought it in the summer. Great sounding amp, but i just have no time for it anymore. Also up for sale, the two cabs that came with it, a 4x12 and a 1x15 that could do with some tlc but work fine. i bought it all for 850. which im not sure was good or what. I don't know what to put this up for, I am interested in trades, maybe a smaller lightweight amp/head or a decent bass. Make me some offers please Pics as soon as i can get them!
