  1. J Basses are still available it seems, but for how long? Feels good to have actually been able to take advantage of what seems to have been a proper special offer. 😌
  2. I tried changing it and it did sweet FA, no extra info or anything. This is the 2nd outing for Ezoic and they’ve dropped the ball again, whether this is incompetence or obfuscation is unclear, although I suspect the latter. Do get me started on the side tab, ‘one time’? Not so much 😤.
  3. I found the pop up massively unclear and misleading. The + or - sign and then a box for a consent tick. What happens if you leave the box unticked, but the plus sign remains? Conversely, what if the box is ticked, but you leave a minus sign? It should not be this opaque and smacks of prevarication.
  4. This appeared in the for sale section today,
  5. Mmm, black on red, tasty.
  6. I’m surprised this didn’t end up discussing the pro and cons of 12 gauge Vs 20 gauge.
  7. Back in the Night - Dr Feelgood
  8. That’s what I think too. I’ve had an RW in the past and the finish is much thinner.
  9. Just looked it up 😲
  10. I can’t say that I’m impressed with Ged’s choice of title. There are better titles to be had surely?
  11. And primarily plays 5 string Stingrays. As I said, whatever gets the job done for the person playing at the time is enough, Tony was thrown in for poops and giggles.
  12. As opposed to your pee having a very deep colour. Stay hydrated, you know it makes sense.
  13. I recorded with my old Ric and the rough mix off the board was really nice and gnarly. Imagine my disappointment when we received the mastered tracks and all you can hear is generic bass, all that character had been EQed out . Fabulous sound and the reason I bought it. Sadly, it proved too heavy for me (should’ve bought the lighter walnut one 🤦🏻) and it had to go. Fabulous looking and sounding basses, enjoy.
  14. Fat Man in the Bathtub - Little Feat
  15. First up, are 4 strings enough? Every time I see the thread title, it makes my teeth itch. Sorry for the pedantry. Now… Anthony says no, they’re not, But, then again, he says they are, Whatever suits you to get the job done and Tony says, “Who needs 4.”
  16. Nice! Necks are definitely tinted.
  17. You might well find that there’s already a shim under the saddle, so you can just remove it/them before you have to resort to sanding the base of the saddle.
  18. Putting some tape over the poles would be the quickest and easiest solution. Some clear nail varnish would also achieve the same outcome.
  19. Woodman, Spare That Tree - Phil Harris
  20. I used to play both in an 80s covers band, then I just used the fretless, no problems.
  21. Ooh, interesting.
  22. For those you who haven’t seen my NBD thread (if not, why not? ), I’ve added a tort PG to my 40th anniversary P. For your consideration…
  23. I used this method with my recently acquired Squier P. It was most timely in posting and effective finding the offending fret (it turned out to be 2 in my case). A quick polish with 800, 1000, 1500 grit and a micromesh cloth put things right.
  24. Thanks. To be honest, as much as I'm a big old tort fan, I quite like this gold PG and it might see a return at some time. Aluminium tape. I did all of the back of the PG and, as I had the PG off, the control cavity (which caused the wee bit of bother mentioned).
