I'd prefer rosewood, but I wouldn't kick that out of bed. The one I tried at The Gallery (it had a fancy figured top) was absolutely top notch, which is why I'd love one. They have that Wal/Hayman/Shergold vibe going on, which just ticks my boxes visually, then there's the build quality and tone. Damn you, Viv! 😂

I've recently come to the conclusion that white basses are my favourite looking. How many white basses have I owned? One, my old '63 P. The Wilcock Mullarkey in white has royally fired up my GAS.

I tried as many as I could when I started looking at SS basses, the one that stood out and I could justify the cost of, was the JMJ Mustang, which I eventually bought. However, the best one of the entire bunch was a Wilcock Mullarkey, which was stunning, but way over budget. I’d still like one though, especially as I’m really enjoying the scale. The Chowny SWBs look interesting and a friend of mine has one of the Pro models that he’s very impressed by and he owns some real bass exotica.
