Once you learn to solder well, there’s no going back. IMO, flux is key. I decided to build an amp and after that my soldering chops were pretty good (just as well as I also had to do it occasionally for my job at the time). -

Drum & Tuba, a new (or least different sounding) genre. Following that thought, would the musical genres that, at least on the face of it, were born out of and thrived because of the electric guitar and bass, still have come to pass? Certainly the size of bands would be different.

An interesting thought would be, what if there were no electric guitar and by extension, no electric bass guitar?
