  6. I had to lower the nut slots on my Sterling Stingray SS. I wrapped strings in sand/emery paper and used that as a file. Just took it easy to get the height right. There was some flaring on the top of the slots, but as I needed to remove a lot of meat from the top afterwards, this wasn’t an issue at the end of the fettling.

  8. IIRC the original Skylines came via the US where they were checked and maybe even PLEked before shipping. I wonder if this is still the case?
  9. I always thought that this model was a do everything bass. Super solid build quality at a very reasonable price. GLWTS.

  22. Since embracing short scales during the height of the pandemic and now hoping to get back out gigging, I wonder if long scale over short scale snobbery is a thing?
  23. What, whilst we've gone down the usual BC rabbit warren of straying off topic? This is the way of things, as well you know They're cheaper for a start!
  24. This comes as no surprise to me, the south coast seems to be where a lot of undesirables end up either by choice or local authority relocation, due to circumstances. The last time I drove through Hastings there was a particular vibe along the front that did not make me want to stop and this was during the day.
