Hmm, maybe an Apple thing, my phone disagrees with my iPad.

I’ve had a warning on my system that my passwords on BC and GC have been part of a data leak. Any veracity to this?

Ah ha! Not just me then. It only started not listing this pm for me, if that time frame helps at all. -

Ooh, that’s not good to hear, especially as I have huge GAS for a Mullarkey. The one that I played at The Gallery was lovely, although I didn’t play it for long or really inspect it particularly closely, as it was out of my budget. -

I’m not a big fan of the nasal sound of soloed, Jazz placement, bridge pickups on long scale basses. However, all the demos I’ve heard with that style of pickup, in the same place (relatively speaking) on short scales, definitely have less nasal twang and more low end, which I like very much. -

I’m currently really enjoying the single coil setting, with the tone wide open, it has that P Bass/ Rick thing going on. -
Something appropriate for today too… You’re Moving Out Today - Carole Bayer Sager

Not everyone’s cup of tea (including mine) but a Hofner violin or Club would be super light and shorter scale.

Gah! Just one? It’s always a toss up between Pino and Tony Levin. My knee jerk reaction is always Pino, but now you’re making me think about it and since my recent ennui with the typical ‘80s style fretless playing that got me into playing bass in the first place (Paul Young’s ‘No Parlez’ album to be precise) I think I’m going to have to say TL (takes a long look in the mirror and asks, “Who are you?”). He’s not dissimilar to Pino in his playing, but he also has that prog sensibility where he might go off on a tangent and come up with something completely unexpected and new (funk fingers for instance) and then he also plays upright and cello. So, waves of hate to you @Barking Spiders for making me choose 😂 and here is Mr Levin doing his thing.

The Tech21 VTDI, although not having a compressor control as such, does compress the signal in the way a valve amp does (or at least an emulation of it). I used to run mine in front of my MXR compressor and you could see on the MXR’s LEDs that something was going on in the squish dept (along with hearing it). I now run those pedals the other way round so that I can have my compressor with a DI out via the VTDI. EDIT: Used should fit your budget.

Heel access truss rod which way does what

Nothing like having the correct tool. However, someone here said a paint can opener will do the same job. At just £1.80 from B&Q (other diy stores are available) I thought I’d give it a go. The tip needed a little more angle and a a little filing for a better fit, but it works really well. -
If you do eschew the pickup up cover, watch out for the very rough and sharp surround. Splashing out for a bezel from Rickysounds is highly recommended.
