    He's fine and I think he offers a very fine service, his style make grate with some, but he's running a business to put food on the table and provide shelter for his family. I don't mind him at all (when I remember that it's a business) and I find his alter ego, Ian Allison, entertaining too, especially when they get together on podcasts, etc. This thread just started out as a bit of fun, if some folk have come to grind their axe, well that's the internet for you.

    However, this is what most people use as a measurement of action. I have always used the 15th fret, but that’s for my own reference, when sharing measurements, the 12th fret seems to be the de facto standard.

    One of the best off the peg bass purchases I've ever made. It has transformed my outlook on what I like. I tried one out pre covid and again after the first lockdown, finally ordering one online in Feb 2021. Easily the best, non boutique shorty I've tried and currently my go to bass. The herd is sometimes right and definitely in this case. DO IT! DO IT!
