1. Markbass Compressore purchased from Andertons just over three years ago. Has lived on my board ever since so has Velcro on the base. Markbass PSU inc. Perfect working order and an outstanding compressor, just check www.ovnilab.com. Located just near Brighton but can post. Would really like to move this on so make me an offer if at all interested.
 2. Enjoyed saying hi to the team on the Basschat stand yesterday and I will try not to lurk as much in the future. As to the show, the exhibition was a bit underwhelming - as has already been said there was an absence of some big names and it surprises me that Promenade Music and Bass Direct can attend but more local retailers like The Bass Gallery and even GAK don’t - no doubt there are cost and logistical issues I don’t understand. Bobby Vega was great, more funk in his little finger than I have in my entire body, and the Yolanda Charles main stage set was superb with Guthrie Govan as well. Enjoyed hearing Steve Lawson’s throughts on improv - a pleasant contrast to the mad slapping happening on some of the stands. The luthier talks were difficult to engage with as they were right next to the (overpriced) cafe. Wish I could have stayed on to hear Guy Pratt and can’t get back to today either.

 4. Same thing happened years ago on the same instrument to me. Needed a screwdriver to get to the battery - not easy on a stage. Always have a spare bass with me, just in case.
 5. I have a Status Charger, bolt on headless and cannot imagine a more versatile and thoroughly professional instrument. There are no dead spots on the neck, it is beautifully balanced and has a modern, focused sound that really cuts through. And towards the bottom of the E string it is just growls! I am currently waiting on a Sei bass to sell and then plan to chat to Mr Green about a new one, possibly a Series 3.
 6. I'm a lurker here and only just spotted this event. Really disappointed that I cannot make it as looks a great programme. Enjoy and hope to join you next year!
 7. Another vote for OnSong. Use with chord charts when required or, a gig I did recently, just created a few notes, added as a PDF and had a mic stand with the iPad positioned just off the stage so that I could see if I needed to.
 8.
aha now then welcome from hastings

Hi bud, from another Sussex resident :-)
God's own county!
 9.
When I saw them at the NIA, he was playing a white Streamline. Shows how foolish it is to make assumptions on a sample of one...
Was that recently? He has recently switched to a white Charger (or a white Rhino according to the marketing blurb!)
 10.
Just auditioned for, and joined, a band that originally formed in the late 1960s, playing my headless Sei Flamboyant 5. They didn't have a problem with it. Oh, and Rhino Edwards plays a Status Streamline with Quo.
Sorry to be a pedant but Rhino Edwards plays a Status Charger.
 11.
Hi from Bexhill SuperSeagull - you won't be popular if you shyte everywhere
Will try hard not to!
 12.
Welcome from sunny Buxted, East Sussex. What's taken you so long
Don't like to rush things
 13. Hi, just signed up. I've been playing for 40 years and these days mostly in our church but occasionally elsewhere as well. My current go to bass is a Status Charger and I am also fortunate enough to own a beautiful Sei Flamboyant plus a MIJ '62 RI Precision, a Precision Lyte, a CIJ Mustang and a Crafter ABG. I'm a fan of Markbass and use a CMD 112 combo and still have my original made in UK Ashdown rig bought from the much missed Bass Centre at Wapping in the late 90's. Look forward to being a part of this group.
