  1. Lakland Decade Beautiful and great Lakland from the skyline range. This transparent red Decade has an active preamp (vol, pan, bass, mid, treble), but also has a push/pull knob to switch to passive mode if wished so. All in all its a very versatile bass with a lot of great solid sounds. Build quality is very good with a tight neckpocket fit. Only high quality parts has been used to build this bass. The neck feels very nice with its jazz bass profile, satin finish and small vintage frets. Action can be set very low on this one. Currently it's fitted with Fender flats which suit the bass very well IMO. The Decade is in a good used condition. It has some usermarks like scuffs and scratches, but nothing significant. Overall it is in a clean condition. Asking €950 The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk. I am not really looking for trades, but might be tempted by really nice offers (precision, fender avri strat...)
  2. Bought a nice stingray from Drew. All went smooth, Drew has been helpful and communicative. The bass had been packed well too. Thanks again Drew
  3. I have a sunburst (with maple board) one in transit right now. I've played some older Fernandes basses before, and they felt and sounded really good. I think the pickup/bridge position is a bit remarkable on the FJB-65. The pickup is a lot closer to the bridge than a 70s Fender. It seems like this has to do with the bridge position that seems further to the edge on 70s Fenders.
  4. Rare Godin Zeta Z-11 bass. Very well built bass, made in Canada in (I assume) the first years of the 80s. It has some cool features like piezo Bridge, ebony fretboard and wavey Grover tuners. The bass looks very good for its age. It has some minor damages like dents, but nothing significant. The neck is straight and the frets show little wear. There are a few issues concerning the electrics though: apparently the piezo Bridge is defective, and also the electronics need to be revised or (partly) replaced. The original and rare Canadian made tolex hardcase is included. Asking €650 The bass is located in the Netherlands, but I am happy to ship at buyers risk.

  6. Fender Coronado Bass ll Very nice example of a Wildwood ll Coronado Bass, made in early 1968 (neck dated Jan 18th). It's a true beauty with a rare highly flamed maple neck and lollipop tuners. The bass appears to be all original and is in very good shape for its age. It has finish checking around and some small damages, but nothing significant. The Coronado has been setup with tapewounds which suit the bass very well. It can do some vintage sounds as well as some more punchy modern tones. It sounds great when played with either fingers or pick. A sturdy epiphone hardcase is included in the sale. Asking price now €3.000 Possible trades or partial trades; precision (later 60s or early 70s player grade), Ampeg V4(b) old or reissue, Fender strat or vintage offset model. I am located in the Netherlands, but am happy to ship at buyers risk..

  9. I once owned a great Kasuga precision bass that I sold to a guy who replaced the decal with a vintage type Ibanez one. Just for himself as Ibby-fanboy, so ok...that's a choice. He sold it as a Kasuga with Ibby logo, but the next time it went on it already was a rare Ibanez with matching price. So any next owner will only "know" that it's an Ibanez. I should have never sold that one though, it truly was a nice one.

  11. Now he only has a rebadged Squier up: https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/muziek-en-instrumenten/snaarinstrumenten-gitaren-elektrisch/m1709869832-fender-stratocaster-60-look-squier-elektrische-gitaar-set.html Mostly he has about 3/4 faked instruments for sale. Reporting him to the site for selling counterfeits on large scale doesn't help unfortunately.
  12. I think this Fender "repair" decals are rarely used in the way they are supposed to. Of course they are great if you are actually restoring an instrument. But there are many, many, many faked up cheapos that end up being offered (if not from the first, than from a second or later owner) as real. There is a lot of pollution of the market, and a serious problem for those that don't know all about the details. On the large Dutch online marketplace there is a dude who is constantly selling rebadged cheapos (at medium price, but still too much) and his instruments turn up regularly as real or "don't know if it's completely real" fender from later owners..
  13. This is THE finish for me. As it reminds me of the moment I knew I wanted to play bass, when is saw the RHCP concert on the red Square in 1999 (on TV). As mentioned, if there wasn't any brexit... I've bought this twice...
